  • wheres the battery? or is it solar?

  • Suck on that Apple! >=)

  • @RivenWine sorry, but an apple cant suck :D ROLF

  • too bad, he said "Good show," not shit.

  • this cut be a perfect invention for university's cause if the teacher say you have to do research for economical prizes you just open the stuff and you can search for it,it will be berry ease.

  • this is really cool

  • this is too cool, when can i have this technology in my home?

  • what happens whit the simpatic bill gaytes?

  • a future product? -> HairMe - Super Hair Restorer

    search in youtube for it...

  • and now for the big ? can you see porn on it.

or else they may as well forget it

  • hello [[[hello]]] [[hello]] [hello]

  • Well this looks really cool, but its just so far out there, that I'm having a hard time imagining WHO would create all this content for these devices.

In the commercial world this degree of content can never be created. Open-ended communities can pull this kind of thing off.

  • @JackDuran I don't see that it's that far away. The content is already there. Textbooks are being sold more and more with DVD ROMS, and this is the future of classroom technology. textbook companies would be committing professional suicide to not jump on this. Imagine kids replacing bags full of books and notebooks with one device. They could even use this to increase security, they could ban the carrying of bags, and no one could smuggle in weapons for school shootings. endless possibilities

  • @nodnarbh9011 they could also in time destroy all the real books and rewrite history ,,,thats the future

  • @MrBullhounds, sure if you want to look at it in a conspiracy theorists point of view. It could also do quite the opposite; the digital information boom has made it possible to get a number of different viewpoints all within seconds. We wouldn't have to settle for the biased viewpoints of one textbook the way you and I learned in school. Look aw Wikipedia for example, Critics hated it in the beginning because anyone could modify it, and they thought that would make it less reliable, but

  • but now you look up the vietnam war, or WWII and you see real life accounts from people who were there, and you don't have to settle for what the United States government deemed worthy of becoming history. You can learn about corruption, and greed, and dirty dealings. All of the real stuff that goes on in the time of war. That's just one example of how it can help us learn. Try explaining to someone how a rotary engine works without drawing a picture, its impossible, but you could have a gif

  • right at your fingertips. There's so much that can be done with this its crazy. School's without money for science labs can still teach children how to use the scientific method, and teach them what happens when you drop sodium in water for example. there's no end to the uses for interactive textbooks. sure there are possible setbacks just as there are with anything, but Microsoft did not design this to cover up history, they designed it to influence our learning.

  • @nodnarbh9011

The publishers that do not adapt to digital format will perish. As new companies will come along that see it as an opportunity to make money and they will do so.

TV will also go to the internet allowing for educational channels that allow user input.

So I agree with you that education will increase as technology increases.

  • the sound is echoing

  • lol!!!1

  • Wow she sure knows her stuff huh.

  • What is the name of that active displaying technology at 5:56 ?

  • I think its LED or OLED its pretty cool

  • that is OLED becuse is flexible

  • Not necessary.

OLED is defined as light emitting diodes, but she has told, that this display technology is similar to the e-ink readers that use reflected light instead of back light in LCD displays.

So it should be "reflecting", but not "emitting" or "back lighted" technology.

  • ur booooring!!! dude

  • u suck bitch!

  • NO, you SUCK!!!!!!!!

  • i know thanks!

  • you're wellcome

  • this will only be posible once open source is introduced. imagine the data charges..

  • Yea...cause Bill Gates does not give away enough money every year

  • This would be great if they give the students/teachers in school a discount for this software!!!!

  • reminds me of the movie starship troopers haha

  • Bill Gate Again!

  • Really exiting stuff. I liked the Surface(table-top computer) Demo. Finishing it with a demo of a flexible display was icing on the cake. Great

  • does he say "thank you janet. good shit!" @6:38?

  • @THEalxkit he said good speach

  • @THEalxkit he says good speech.

  • @THEalxkit

    "good seein ya"

  • I miss Peter.

  • WOW!!!!

  • I LOVE THIS!

It would be great if this could replace all of my text books!

  • y34hright!

  • cool....

  • fair point douchbag... but isn't the verb 'diss' not dish. or maybe it should be douche!

  • because college isn't expensive enough

  • Okay, we're looking into the future here, not the immediate future. They'll be expensive at first, obviously.

  • I like this idea, because it would require text book writers to hire tons of 3D artists which will give me a ton of work.

Also is anyone else creeped out by Balmer in warm colors?

  • lmao he has always worn weird colours

  • Hey's Peter Boyle and you should respect him because he died last year.

  • since when has death become respectable, its not like its hard

  • Not because he died but because he was great and is no longer around to fend for himself.

  • lol everybody loves raymond

  • this is awesome! microsoft has very good ideas!!!!

  • are you serious dude.. the last good idea microsoft had was inventing something to control disk access on a computer. they called it DOS. since then all thy've done is screw with the world big time

  • No they didn't. Bill gates bought a cpm type Operating System for $50,000 and fixed up the code and recompiled it for 8088.

  • well any company does that as long as you give them your money the'll comtinue doing what ever you pay them for.

  • yet another microsoft fan no doubt - schmuck!

  • that thing is going to have problems

  • is that windows 7 ?IF NOT (Like windows 10) fuck off

  • Microsoft is very smart. They are making this just like Google Earth. You are basically zooming constantly updated 3d human body pictures... I mean all they have to do is make the software and update the files.. wow. smart stuff man...

  • I feel sorry for you that you don't know the difference between the human body and the Earth. The body diagram is amazing and could actually be used for health purposes.

  • Microsoft can't just take google's software retard, they have to develop if all by themselves.

  • LOL. Are you fucking kidding? I never said this is Google Earth. I just that how the application works is just like Google Earth. Read before you talk. I'm not stupid. Its just that microsoft has infered to google's high resolution mapping technology.

  • When is Ballmer leaving microsoft. He's like an embarrasing friend who says all the wrong things. That and he has the posture of a pervy priest.

  • Really, sound is terrible

  • can't sound be any worse than this?

  • The truth is out there.

  • Wow !! i never knew Dr phill likes Windows ~!!!~

  • huh? how could anyone favorite this video? first of all the sound quality is terrible. but on the content, there is nothing new or interesting here. its just hyperlinks with some semi-interesting videos and (at this point) the same old double touch interface stuff. MS is going nowhere.

  • coolio, paper may become obsolete

  • paper will never become obsolete.

students will still need to still print out their paper. you can't hack paper.

  • i said "paper MAY become obsolete"

  • I think Microsoft is finally showing what they have been building for the last decade.

  • remember that add they made for vista? they should have saved it for this software.. WOW seams spot on

  • WOW
