It has long been my opinion that the best scenes of the entire series involved Michael and Drea. Out of countless amazing moments on Sopranos, this scene has always stuck with me. I hate how he assaulted Adde, but I could also see the love when he let go of her. That entire season...wow, Drea was brilliant! When she was being interrogated, she made me feel as sick and upset as she was! It was literally eating her alive. Great writing, supreme acting!
Shows have come before, and after The Sopranos that are unbelievable, but this scene is one of many reasons why The Sopranos is the best series of all time! The acting and writing are just on another level.
The best episode in the series in terms of drama, acting and direction in my opinion. So many great scenes. The final scene in this episode when Tony and Carmella are in the woods and it fades to black when the song plays is also very powerful, not to mention the infamous killing and Chris's line, "Thats the guy Adriana, my uncle tony, the guy im goin to hell for".
One very interesting thing here...this is one of the few times that Christopher uses language like "us" and "I fucking loved YOU" when talking with Adrianna about their relationship. On many other occasions, when they talk about love and their relationship...it's much more all about him. Think about all the times when she says "I love you" and he says "you better."
Weird, weird timing, of course...as he soon decides that another collective is more important to him.
