i doubt it. there's an article by a voice coach on here (google what happened to whitney houston's voice ) and he explains that he uses her as an example of how NOT to sing if you want your voice to last. i also read that she has had surgery on her cords and that may have gone wrong. as for her age, see shirley bassey. almost as good as ever at 72. one ray of hope is that bassey had vocal problems and had to learn a new singing technique but, you can't tell. here's hoping.

@donkiddick08 i think the crack laced pot smoking did it.....her technique i think had very little to do with how her voice sounds now. smoking in general is VERY hard on the voice, and she did a lot of it. it really is a shame. this performance is amazing and she could have had many more like it.

I understand what people are saying about her voice, I love whitney for me she's the bet singer in the world and yes she probably hasmessed her voice up with drugs but people are forgetting what happens to your voice naturally in time your speaking voice will lower in octaves so it's only naturally her singing voice will do the same, if your on the phone with someone you know if it's a young womans voice or an older woman and it must be frustrating when her voice won't do what it used to.
