Renzo?...he's a genius and is wonderful to finally have his creation as an addition to the Chicago architectural treasure...would like to see more of his works around me..
Obnoxious. I love Renzo, but this is pure starchitect pandering by Huxtable, and self-congratulation by the two architects. Three elitists trying their hardest to pretend they're not... fascinating nonetheless...
During the introduction of Piano, when mentioning the NY Times Building, the clip shows a model of Ghery's design, not Piano's. Interesting mistake given previous interviews with Gehry.
i watched it all. chicago has amazing architecture.
however, in my lifetime, the best of the best neighborhood architecture has been knocked down for condos.
we still have amazing places, more than anywhere i have been, but please make sure that our older gems stay alive by visiting the chicago architecture foundation online (i have no affiliantion other than donations, btw).
Whats with the love fest?

That's actually right. And in the light of Ross and Gehry being friends, and the architecture being the main theme, it is surely a bummer.
