Why do people get drunk?

I drink because it's enjoyable... why is there anything wrong with that? Can someone please explain this to me? It's one thing to say it is unhealthy to binge drink, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with drinking and having some fun.

Unless your an alcoholic, nothing this man is saying is of any value to you. Please don't listen to these messages, TRY alcohol in the very least in a comfortable environment. If it's not for you, then it's not for you... but don't live in ignorance.

Certainly you don't know why people who've left negative comments came here. After watching the video "should christians drink" I wanted to leave a comment but was unable too, however just because it may have been negative doesn't mean I went out of my way to diss the christian faith it just means your opinion differs.

I don't believe in 'supernatural gifts', because I believe that phrase by its nature cheapens what the human spirit can aspire to. Why do some religious people feel they have a monopoly on morality or spirituality? It's a kind of shame. Missing the forest for the trees, as it were. People shouldn't have to be told these things. It should come from within. Ultimately I'm tired of the superficialty of modern society.

Heh. As an agnostic atheist, I find much of the exuberant Christian hyperbole in this video to be almost as scary as it is embarrassing. Yet I also find myself in a very curious predicament where feelings or beliefs I have are frequently juxtaposed with those found in many religious doctrines. Why -do- people get drunk? It's a fair question. It frustrates as well as isolates me, in addition to being the catalyst for many a violent outburst worldwide, often solely as a result of misunderstanding.

This is an awesome message. We are substituting distractions for the Holy Spirit. And, unfortunately, distractions just leave you unsatisfied and searching for more. We try to use substances, relationships, career, even sometimes our ministry or our gifts to take the place of where God fits in our lives. But there truly is no substitute for the Holy Spirit.

WTF!?! I just drank 2 beers and asked myself why do i like to drink alcohol? so I decided to do some searching on the web to find some interesting stuff about alcohol, about what it does to your body and to your brain. And then I fell on this video. I don't believe in god but I still watched the whole video and it didn't answered my question at all. I still don't know why I drink but I like what it does to me.
