  • the first set of bulkhead flats at 4:49, what make are they? (Athrean, Atlas, etc?) They look to be set to have a "lower" deck compared to TTPX versions that I have.

  • Nice train.

I see it's blocked correctly as well.

From a prototypical standpoint,it would be unsafe to have that much weight TRAILING the freight.

    Nice job.

    Nice layout.

  • That's awesome, you guys should make like a MOW thing and replace the tracks like that lol, what's your longest train that you have ever ran? Mine is 60 cars

  • MOW please! Blessings.

  • That's crazy but I love it !

  • I would hate to wait at a crossing that long! Thats the longest HO scale train I've ever seen.

  • Dude the best ho scale train ive ever seen. amazing engine selection too. Great vid :)

  • I'd like to see the Helm Leasing statement for that power!lol

  • I Love watching long freights on club layouts that can handle them. The track work has been well done. And that train length WOW !!! Nice Job. What is the minimum radius on this artistry?

  • The bad track makes it al more real.

  • Sweet! That was awsome!!! Good catch. By the way........................... How did you get MY cars on your train? LOL! I have a lot of those cars. Good video. Will you tell me more about the layout? Is it yours or a club layout? I'm going to subscribe. Happy railroading!!

  • Excellent effect.

  • thats cool you should leave it like that, adds a sense of realism to the railroading to see it bounce lol

  • I swear, I MEAN SWEAR that I heard the sound of diesel engines in Notch 1 in this video?!?

  • Having worked as a professional railroader, a couple of points: (1) all the autoracks should have been together in the train, to make it easier to switch them out; (2) all the empty pig flats likewise should have been together, and at the REAR of the train, to prevent "stringlining" when going around a curve, which would cause a derailment, when they're in the middle. Aside from those points, a great video.

  • hey there modeltrainman, how cuz i cant access ur channel, it says its ''not available...i'd like to subscribe. i actually came by the emrrc recently, i like the feel of the place...thinking of joining. great vids.

  • WOW!!! That is one LONG TRAIN!!! I also like the effect of the bad track.

  • awh only 3 bulkhead flats?.. ahha.. hey where do u get ur engines and freight cars from?.. jw

  • The rocking motion is caused by worn track,no im kidding when the club first layed down the track back in the early 90,s they decided to have a siding with very worn and wavy track for the effect, they rebuilt the siding but the wavy track stayed right where the crossing is.

  • Look at the engines! they NEVER run NS, SOO, Conrail and the other shortline RR's together!

  • how did ou get the rocking affect?

  • ....the 1 "dislike" must've came from the guy waiting in that truck, lol..... is 133 cars even legal??? (im kidding) hahahahaha

  • @Faulks306 yes, 133 is legal, actually, as of right now, there is no limit on the length of the trains...

  • I'm building one in my basement (n scale). so far, it takes up about 3/4. I think you did a great job

  • very cool, just getting into this hobby. Usually stop in at al's in Elmhurst seeing as I am always get RC car parts. Was kinda turned away from Al's train section though since I walked in and was wondering around for 20 minutes and the guys just kept talking to the "regular" customer at the counter.

  • Now THAT'S a model unit coal train I like.

  • It makes it more realistic, very cool!

  • Very nice!!!! is very cool =) amazing

  • We'll wait, just run over & ask them to keep it down because you're doing a video. LOL

  • Thank you for the coments, will be back with some new videos soon.

  • Man it has been a childhood dream of mine to put together something like this. Nice work and stay positive.

  • Were all those locomotives really needed!!???

  • Penn Central laid those tracks.

  • actually kind of realistic...neat vid.

  • So i failed,if you would read all the comments you would have read were i told you the siding is short i did this video so people would think it is longer then it is,but im glad you pointed out that i failed, next time im down at the club say hi so i know WHO YOU ARE!

  • @modeltrainman Very nice!! Track like this make's it more realistic. When I had my set up on the sideing's and branch lines I would tap down the joint's with a small hammer to get em rocking. I never did that on the main's, I kept them nice. It is fun playing with the real thing's now, just wish I had the time to do this still!

  • @modeltrainman good vid stay positive

  • The siding ends right after that crossing so how could that train have fit on there? Im a member and have the layout memorized. the single track main in blocks 5,6,7 is accompanied by a siding about 13 feet long so FAIL

  • the rocking mackes it lock evean realer

  • Great method of doing that - I have the one my line and it will be on the entire thing - However I like yours much better than my method; what did you exactly do to get them to rock right at the crossing?

  • I love the grafiti on the car carriers.

  • someone should report this.

  • I like the weathered cars auto racks are nice. wish this layout was close we go the blissfield mich club 25 minutes out by my house with does 1950's to late 1980's.

  • long train

  • what dose "code 83" mean in the info?

  • @trainz675 it is the thickness of the rail in thousands of an inch (I believe) code 100 is about 10 caliber, or .1 inch tall. Code 100 is the stuff in most train sets, good for large flanges, but sucks for realism. Real railroads use different thicknesses of rail for different tracks. In HO scale, code 83 is a mainline, 70 a brachline/ siding, ~60 a light spur, and 40 a pre civil war rail

  • Looks awesome, I would consider bad track as something that derails my train, not make it look better running :)

  • wobbly track makes it even more real awesome

  • Man I need to take a road trip to Chicago. living in Pennsylvania, its not that far to me cuz I love traveling! I just need gas money lol

133 cars makes a coal drag! those are RD-trinity hoppers right? I've been wanting to get a pack of those for my layout. I have Bethgons and Bethlehems'

  • Wicked amazing layout! It seems all the great big clubs are out west, in the midwest, or down south!

  • @prorobo Love our trains down here in the south! This is an awesome train!

  • Awesome. Even though you lied, very entertaining. ;)

  • Because i may have lied a little,There is no passenger train waiting and the siding is only 15 feet long, the train is getting back on the main line just behind the camera, but you would not know that if i did not tell you.

  • Nice long consist. Why not show the whole meet?

  • great video

  • 133 cars must be one long siding

  • Wow. Track and speed limits maybe like during the end of the Rock Island or Penn Central

  • MAN! thats some really bad ass track! What percentage of the tracks have you all have replaced already?

  • The elmhurst model railroad club is in the western suburbs of chicago il,in the town of elmhurst .We have open house every friday from 7pm to close and every sunday from 1pm to 4pm.

  • nice vid what state are you located in i want to come and visit you layout
