  • ;( i miss the old layout of the netflix dashboard on 360

  • all of these damn videos on youtube say stuff about "activating" netflix. but none of them show you how to do that!!

  • @tjridley To activate it's super simple. The current system goes like this. On your Xbox you'll be asked to input your username and password on Xbox360 and then your done. In previous versions you had to enter a 6 digit code into your netflix account but I haven't seen that anymore.

  • @tjridley do u need to no how cus ill tell u how if u need me to

  • You know what's funny? I just watched this show last night lol!

  • i wonder if it works if i just use proxy on PC and watch it on PC...and use 1month trial

  • how you get activated

  • are u able to stream in hd?

  • @kunalnair91 not all the time but sometimes what it'll do is adjust 10 min into a show and then stream in HD. Keep in mind my country has super fast internet speed so that could be a factor. Go try speedtest (dot) net and find out how fast you are before and after. For Netflix you'll need about 3-4mbps to get HD.

  • @Fisherkingnigel i was on strongvpn for about 2 days. my netspeed went from 18mbits to 4mbits. but now i use unlock-us. they just giv u a dns address and it unlocks netflix and other us sites like hulu. much cheaper option and ive kept my netspeed

  • so, apart from the modified router, what other costs are involved (a subscription to strongvpn?) - as I live in Japan too I was also wondering how it works with the proprietary modems that they use here? Thanks in advance.

  • @anchanuk I just pay the $7 a month but now have increased my service plan. I want a US ip on my iPhone so I can watch netflix and listen to Pandora radio. But yeah the basic plan will work for your needs. Besides that not much else to pay for I would say. Get your VPN and you're golden. I love my router because when I go to my wife's grandparents house for 1 week I just bring that router and boom the whole house turns into a US wi-fi system.

  • Hi, Two questions for you: did you have to order your router from strongvpn?

Do you know if I could hook up a samsung BD player on the router?

    Thx

  • @heltvedt Yes my router is a pre-configured version from Strongvpn and I like theirs because it works well with my account. Regarding your BD player I don't really know but if it has a lan cable going into it you should be fine. Also Wi-Fi works great too...

I love the router because I just brought it over to my grandparents house and all I had to do was plug it in and throw a LAN cable in it. Went to the Xbox and set up the Wi-Fi and it's golden.

  • Hi, I've also been looking into this for the last couple of months. I love in England and have a netflix account and would like to watch it on my Apple tv2. I also have a strong VPN account, which I'm very happy with. Where did you get your router from? Because I find the ones affiliated to Strong VPN rather over priced. Any advice you could give me would be fantastic!

  • @dhandley22 For apple TV you can stream Netflix via your main display but you're definitely going to need a VPN router. I bought mine from them because I was such a happy customer and figured it was just be easier than me trying to configure it. I read that actually installing all the firmware into a router is pretty tricky and if you make a mistake you're new router is toast. SO really it's a small investment that makes my family super happy. Good luck!
