@tripleheshy Frey and Henley made Felder rich again. Henley & Frey were having productive solo careers, they didn`t need to reunite for the money. The reunion in `94 single handedly saved Felder,Schmit and Walsh from financial issues. Don`t you get it ? There is no Eagles without Frey and Henley.

Just because he didn't write as many songs and sing as Don and Glenn did, that does not make his work expendable, no matter who you hire to do it. Maybe Felder is rubbing it in a little too thick, but I think he kinda has a point, by believing Frey, and Azoff see all the ex members work "Meisner, Leadon, & Felder" as expendable. Each member contributed something special to the band, and all of it's worthy of recognition. More than Frey and Azoff give it anyway.

Well the fact remains. It it weren't for Felder they wouldn't have Hotel California, even if all he does these days is boast about how he had the original idea for the song. Felder was and still is to this day a great musician, and I think they were wrong to sack him just like that, and replace him with some studio yahoo that doesn't even get credit as a band member, yet you still does all the lead guitar work that Felder did.

Why does Glenn sing both the first and third verses? They should have let Tim Schmidt or Joe Walsh sing the third verse. If you watch the live version of them playing this song in 1972, Randy Meisner sings the third verse. Watch it, its in poor quality but he does. Does Glenn have some kinda fetish for singing "all" off Randy's former leads? lol

Felder was great! I met him last year in Calgary when he was on his book tour. He was fired for wanting an equal share - Don Henley is the bad guy, not Felder.

Frey and Henley are typical limousine liberal hypocrites who rail against corporate greed yet didn't hesitate to fuck someone they knew for years just so they could keep a little more for themselves. That is a stone cold fact. Way to go Felder!!!

Steuart Smith is a legendary guitarist in his own right, and has added his own incredible sound to the mix without losing the Eagles feel. Don't forget that Walsh isn't an original band member either.

Give Smith a chance. I have seen him play live with Rodney Crowell and with Rosanne Cash on several occasions, and his playing gives me goosebumps.

Saw them live last night, for the first time in my life. I was like on of the youngest persons there. :)

Finally I got to see Henley, Walsh, Smith and Fray! Not to forget the other musicians there were.

Although it was awesome, I think they can better stop after this tour. Henley's voice is just not as good as it used to be. Heartache Tonight was just terrible..

Their early work back when Bernie Leadon was on board is definitely more folk rock/country. Just listen to Desperado. Once Schmidt came on board they started going into a heavier rock sound and cemented it with the addition of Walsh.
