There are tons of videos on youtube showing cats including cougars being hunted, flag the videos for animal abuse like I have, so they will get removed.
i really dont think ppl should hunt at all just got to the store and buy somthing its not like it doomsday and we got to live off the land.and i think it wrong to hunt down an animal that kills someone .i mean a person kills a person and we just lock em up and feed em 3 meals a day.if ppl keep killing em eventully there wont be any left.

As far as killing a Cougar after it attacks a person, that depends on why it attacked. If it attacked defensively and didn't feed on it's human victim, than no. But if it attacked as a predatory response, especially if it succeeded, than it is better to remove it so it does not begin attacking with regularity.
If farmer's would get livestock guardian dogs to protect there livestock... these dogs are effective at keeping predators away... good for the farmers, and the cat gets too live!

I lived on Cougar Mountain for years. I've seen coyotes, black bears, hawks, owls, hummingbirds. You would see deer every day. I've never seen a wild cougar. They are very elusive. This is five minutes from downtown Seattle.

I read an article a couple years ago about a single bear that wandered into the Alpine part of Germany and people freaked out and wanted the authorities to get rid of it. I grew up in Washington state and we have thousands of two different species of bears and people for the most part don't freak out about them like the Germans did.
of course they attack people..they are WILD animals and they don't know any better.. They attacked a couple on a hiking trail and it mauled the husband.. Can't blame animals when land that was once there's is now disappearing.

I lived on Cougar Mountain for years. I've seen coyotes, black bears, hawks, owls, hummingbirds. You would see deer every day. I've never seen a wild cougar. They are very elusive. This is five minutes from downtown Seattle.

5 minutes is a really short period of time.
idk what to tell you. It hasn't taken me 5 minutes b4(although I've only driven it a few times), and Google maps says 15 minutes, like I said before.
as for Flamable_Steve, its a character name I used in a short story I wrote back in elementary school. The misspelling wasn't intentional back then. But it is now.

I don't know about the cougars, but there were some problems building Lakemont boulevard out to I-90. Something about destroying an endangered owl's habitat. The owls lost and the road was built.

I read an article a couple years ago about a single bear that wandered into the Alpine part of Germany and people freaked out and wanted the authorities to get rid of it. I grew up in Washington state and we have thousands of two different species of bears and people for the most part don't freak out about them like the Germans did.

of course they attack people..they are WILD animals and they don't know any better.. They attacked a couple on a hiking trail and it mauled the husband.. Can't blame animals when land that was once there's is now disappearing.

I live in Washington state. I wish I could see a cougar, but I live in the city. :( Maybe during summer vacation when I travel a bit. :D Good video! Sad that one got killed a by a hunter!

Shame that we are ruining our planet,killing off species and running them off their land. Humans have to be the most selfish of all creatures. I hate how they track and kill any mountain lion that attacks a human..even if the humans are in the cats territory. Sad. If I were attacked and killed by a wild animal while hiking or camping...I would not want the animal killed. They are only trying to survive in what little land and food we have left for them..not much. What beautiful animals!

I agree with you, it's a waste. But an animal that has killed or attacked a human before is more than likely to do so again. The ones that avoid humans live on to reproduce young with the same instincts. Darwin's theory of survival of the fittest at work.
