  • Mark is just so silly in his apron and I am gonna remove scratches on my car on the Auto bond

  • what kind of rubbing compound and polish you use. (brand name)

  • Thanks to this video, I know longer park myself in the middle of the I-95 during rush hour traffic to buff out my scratches, thanks monkeyseevideos! *thumbs up*

  • Didnt learn anything from this....

  • Check out m22wrights channel for the very finest in deep scratch removal

  • he's spend more time on introducing himself them teaching us how to get rid of scraches.

  • He didn't explain how to remove the sratches.......

  • I usually throw the wife on the hood while dring to work with a battery powered buffer.

  • i bet this is this guys job, waxing cars :L

  • well

i hate to wax my car inside the garage -

i usually wax it on the street while its on

    haha

    am just kiding

  • I know this guy is a bit of a nerd but these videos are actually pretty awesome, just watched the whole series and I now understand how to wax and polish my Galant. =D

I know it isn't rocket science but I hadn't found a video up until this point that explains in plain English how to do it from start to finish, and also explains the difference between rubbing compound and polish.

    Plus, I'm a bit slow.

    Anyway, thank you Mark Boudreau.

  • Free from traffic.. cars off... yup I do it while driving... I get Fernando to climb out the window and clean it for me on the go..

  • what a tool

  • what the fuck why would anybody want to work where there is traffic yeah get this shit off youtube and stop wasting our time please

  • You're a fucking dumbass.... the traffic he's referring to is anything that can kick up dust that could potentially scratch the car even worse.

  • lol okay my bad i didnt know but thanks now i know

  • @fatass18 why didnt he say that then O.o

  • nice car....lol....330i

  • i thought this was supposed to be a demonstration, not a fucking advert-fuck you, monkeysee.

  • if it's allowed to dry...

  • You use dish washing soap to take off any wax layer that might be on the paint. Also, it works as a degreaser to take off any road grime or other impurities that might be on the car. Regular car washing soap almost always has some kind of conditioner or something other than soap. Dish washing soap doesn't, unless it has aloe in it. Alot of detailers and body shops use it before they cut or buff and wax a car. It's been done for a long time. And like every other soap, yes. It can ruin clear coat.

  • liquid dishwash soap....LOL OMG are you fkn serious....HAHAHAHAH i cant beleieve this you fail you suck no stars....

  • Get this rubbish off youtube

  • dish soap????

  • Please free youtube from this sh... videos!

  • Free from traffic? Who fixes scratches in the middle of freeways

  • lmfao! xD

  • IMFAO!!!! if so then make sure you're at the speed limit

  • he means on the street

  • Agreed!

  • @andrewdoyle88

I think he meant like if you would park it on the drive way, in a big garage or parking lot with several other parked cars. You don't want hinder other people from accessing their cars and driving out.

But I understand what you mean! It is a bit funny the way he says it. :)

  • wow if he's so certified and owns a "major" body shop.. then why is this guy using dish soap????? haha jesus man...

  • to remove the wax-layer that's (hopefully) on your car..

lots of people wash their cars using dish soap without knowing that they are actually removing the protecting wax-layer doing that while they just want to wash their car..

  • yeh but wax is thre for only 1 month anyway and u cant remove it that fast, then u apply wax again anyway

  • to get off the old wax

  • @kdotv87 I think dish soap removes old wax and sealants, it is supposed to be a good prep wash before a complete detail.

  • wet sand the scratch and its gone FOR GOOD. otherwise when the buffing compound wears off PRESTO! scrached again! dish soap will eventually ruin your paint i dont recomend using it, unless you dont care about the finish and in that case why bother fixing a scratch, just put a dent over it!

  • doesn't dishwashing soap strip wax

  • Of course it does. He's buffing out scratches. Why would you want wax on an area you're buffing? you wax AFTER WARDS.

  • arrogant ass

  • piece of shit video. u cant use dish soap on ur car. wtf is this fool takin about

  • your an idiot you use it to clean the surface that your working on before you try and get the scratch off..

  • i know that but ur not supposed to use dish soap. it ruins the paint.

  • not if it doesnt have any chemicals in it which most dish soap dont have

  • i went to the website to see more he uses dish soap because it removes wax...

just use a proper wax and grease remover ... not dish soap... bloody cost cutting ponce

  • hi my name is mark and i tell you i can detail but i really cant k thanks

  • just hit the link in the name and it comes up with all of them , decent quality

  • stupid monkey video. low rate this bitch

  • He's using dish soap to remove all the layers of wax that would be on the car. If you knew that I guess you'd be in business then.

  • he should use a pupose product ... there are wax and grease removers made for cars

  • How the hell is this guy in business when he uses dish washing soap to wash a car?

  • first thing i ever learned detailing a car or waxing polishing etc... never use dish wash detergent on your car paint people

  • hi gorilla can you tell me how to remove scratches. You know what your talking about . Thanks

  • the title is a little misleading.

good tip about not waxing the car in traffic though...

  • lol

  • wow he lives in arlington but he didnt tell us how to spell it.

  • wow. i learned where arlington, va is from this video. thanks.

    USELESS video.

  • why on every single video monkey see has they show a detailer useing dish wash detergent cleaning a car now if the dumbshits knew anything at all that is the biggest no no known to use on a painted surface

  • what a shamelss plug. This video should get removed asap. People are thinking they are going to see how to do it, but then he tells you to go to his website to see how to do it instead? WTF. It's people like these that i wish some hacker would come along and crash it.

  • up his on erse

  • not very satisfying, more of the myself than the scratch.

  • Shameless plug.

  • I hope it is not a free advertisement!!! YouTube should charge for this kind of videos.

  • @rgsoni thats a terrible idea.

  • This man does not strike me as a typical ICAR trained ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician.

  • I agree, your typical ICAR trained ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician usually has more hair and a deeper voice.

Maybe he's a bogus ICAR trained ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician. That would explain the balding and squeaky voice.

Maybe we should notify the ICAR ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician training depot. What do you think?

  • I don't think that there is any need to follow up this issue with the ICAR ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician training depot. I merely commenting on a typical stereotype - as you have noted as well. Maybe this type of ICAR ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician is common in his area.

  • Well,if you feel that this ICAR trained ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician is indeed a true ICAR trained ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician and not a bogus ICAR trained ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician then it would be wisest to leave the ICAR ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician training depot well alone.

I apologise in advance to the ICAR trained ASE Master Certified Collision and Refinish Technician for any slur.

  • Freakin waste of time. :(

  • well this was useless.

  • can u polish deep white scratches?
