  • The sound of the 315's whistle as it blows for the crossing leaving Durango is beautiful and haunting. Makes me think of the passage of time for some reason. 3 years after first seeing this video and it is still one of my favorite ones on youtube. Nice job once again!

  • I remember seeing it when I was a kid along time ago. Never thought it'd be a live and breathing though :)

  • She's a little beauty.

  • Great video! Beautiful consolidation. Awesome to see it doing what it was built for again.

  • Yeah, the thing sat in a Durango park on static display for something like 53 years! It's a miracle they got it rebuilt, not bad for an old yard goat that came back from the dead!

  • ass hole must be from the gay bay

  • I love the sound of the horn in the distance after rockwood dissapears

  • *whistle :D

  • WAY COOL

  • Is that funny to see a nice old train go by a Mcdonalds

  • riding her on Friday yay

  • Those who brag the most are usually gay! ***hole

  • Hey, reloaded, F*** Y O U.

  • I think your name says it all. What's it to you? You just don't understand....it's a TRAIN thing. I pity the fool who don't understand.

  • This Video is Amazing! An Authentic NG D&RGW 2-8-0 back on her Home Rails! I never thought a Day like this would come... XD

  • K-28's are my second favorite type of locomotive Behind the Famous American

  • Beautiful engine. Thank for sharing this.

Could anyone send me an mp3 or wav file of this video? I'm want to use the whistle and bell sound in a DCC decoder I'm programming for my own personal use. This is not a commercial venture, just a garden railway fan looking for authentic sounds.

    Thanks. Peter.

  • It's great to see this little enginer running again. Finally, something besides K-36s and K-27s.

  • I didn't know the D&S owned some K-27 Mudhens, I thought they were all K-28's. Because there are only 2 surviving Mudhens that I know of, #463 at the C&TS, and #464 at the Huckleberry Railroad.

  • I meant K-28s.

  • buts its always good to see a new engine and 315 will be on the C&TS this summer so she might just see a k-27. lol

  • great footage. If you have more videos of the engine from the the same day the train was run please post it.

  • Just the part 1 footage also posted.

  • i have video of that same train that day.
