Oh shut up Ian, Jurassic Park can work, it just needs the proper security. People hold dangerous animals like lions and bears in Zoo's, why is it wrong with dinosaurs?
@xIegionx A lot is wrong, sadly. Dinosaurs are untested. And they're HUGE, if a lion were as large as a t-rex, we probably wouldn't have them in zoos. It would take ages to properly figure out how to control them, and by then, an accident could have happened. Even if were just picked herbivores, which would be more like keeping an elephant, they would have trouble adapting to modern diseases and plants, like the triceratops in the movie. It's sad, but it just wouldn't work.
@Dormixi we have whales and elephants in zoo's with fences that aren't even as big as them. We can easily control them, in the films they did it with tranquilizers or guns. Also you seem to forget the human's ability of ingenuity which leads them to adapt to make things to accustom to dinosaurs. They're animals and amazingly none are even bigger than a blue whale. They can be contained if they didn't just rely on electricity or electric wires. They EASILY could be contained.
Whales and elephants are not predatory towards human beings, however.
What I meant by 'untested' was not the size issue - I meant that because we have no experience with them, we have no idea what diseases they might give us, or what we might give them. It isn't just a matter of being contained; there are health hazards as well. :(
I do think that eventually we'll be able to - safely - have dinosaurs in zoos, but not for a very long time. And now? Not at all.
@Dormixi That's the whole point of why they were on an island. The dinosaur's in the film were already tested and there were no health hazards aside from them breaking out, so the only danger s equivalent to that of a lion getting out of it's cage. Why? They were DNA bred and the diseases they carried could already be seen through the dino's blood which they could remove from cloning. Ian's argument is actually that the worse danger is them breaking out. Not diseases
@xIegionx Oh, I think I misunderstood you before. I thought you meant have them in a zoo, a city zoo. Haha in that case it'd be awful. On an island, much less dangerous, yes. (Although I do believe Ian is right - sometimes it is better to be pessimistic than overly confident.)
@Dormixi Even still how would they have any diseases if they spread IF they were cloned and could have their DnA genetically altered to not have cloned disease infested dinos. Really, it's not dangerous. Also Malcolm's fear is that they'd get out and eat anyone, not diseases
@xIegionx The way I see it, we couldn't possibly discover all the diseases they carried right away. There are bound to be ones that we would miss - ones that would then be contracted and spread when workers returned to mainland. I know that's his fear, however, I also fear the spread of diseases we don't know how to treat, that could possibly take a very long time to figure out how to cure/treat. Unlikely, but mistakes happen.
@Dormixi That was never his fear, in fact he never mentioned it, it was just about them getting loose. That was Malcolm's only fear because he believed you cannot contain it. NEVER did they mention diseases. Especially if the dinosaurs that were bred had their DNA examined and it'slikely they wouldn't clone something with mutated dna from a disease
@Dormixi apparently neither of you have read the book. it wasn't malcolms fear they would escape he simply knew it. he said it when they first reached the island that it was incredibly obvious how the dinosaurs would escape and it happened almost exactly as he though it would. as for disease yes the dinosaurs have diseases this is both evident in the book and in the movie although the book focuses more on the stego than triceratops And no you cannot keep these animals in a zoo. too unpredictable
Thats right, it does sound a bit odd, because its Foley. I stripped the sound off of all the clips so I could make the music consistent during montages.
if you were a jurassic park nerd/fan you would know that they got the roars from the mix of warlusu dolphins and other aquatic animals they were squeaked darkened and ect.
you should have let Dr.Satller finish the quote and kept the original music for the Long Neck scene

And with the chase with the t-rex, his roar sounds like a walrus, it sounds really strange.

It seems really odd to make a video recutting Jurassic Park into three minutes, but you did a good job.
