  • If a Man pretends he doesn't see, Then HE IS NOT A MAN....

  • Stevie could sing any song, I mean ANY SONG and squeeze the soul out of it until the pips squeaked. The man is a veritable genius. I must have listened to this track a thousand times and his vocal still moves me to tears.

  • I remember sneaking a peak at my parents having a party dancing to this song..... Great song

  • justine bieber is a no talented bitch ...after typing that im still enjoying this great song..hahahahahahaha

  • I have been looking for this song for so long man i love it... i have been asking all of the old people that i no if they have it but they never do... Im so glad i found it again

  • awesomness check out my acoustics listen to hide and seek!

  • I love all of Stevie's early stuff the best.

  • I love this music I write music but this is awesome !

  • love this version...

  • Wow, Stevie has such a magnificent way to convey a song. Just goes to the core of where you live in the deepest parts of the soul.

  • I have to say Motown took this song to another level. Stevie and Clarence Paul did a great version of this song by Bob Dylan. My mom bought this record when it came out and we played it a lot. Stevie did a fantastic job on this song along with Mr. Paul and well its a classic all its own even though this is a cover of the original. Love it.

  • This is magnificent. Stevie truly made this song his own... only a very small can take a song that isn't originally there's and vocally personify it as their own and of course, Stevie is in that small, elite company. One of the best renditions of any song ever recorded... my personal favorite version of the song, along with the late, vocal ICON, Sam Cooke's.

  • Steve is greatness, however; it is the lyrics that makes this a great song. Bob Dylan is also greatness.

  • @thearktech You're right. You gotta give Dylan as much credit or more for writing this masterpiece. Does ANYONE know the name of the background singer who answers "Too many years have gone by already now, Stevie"?

  • The answer is blowing in the wind......listen to the drums, guitar, banjo and piano....awesome, it almost sounds like soulful bluegrass...what a sound. to all u music lovers out there u know what i mean

  • The answer is blowing in the wind......listen to the drums, guitar, banjo and piano....awesome

  • why did did you cut the intro ?

    this is silly..

the original from 'uptight' is 3'43, not 3'07 !

  • pure talent

  • one of the only people who can pull off the song :)

  • Naw it aint about me having Bieber anything he is too young to encite me not my type of flavor young man he just is out there and trying to make it in the game he does have some talent I saw him banging the drums and he can flat out go on them as well man. I am of the old school persuation so this music of today can hardly move me to even pat my foot much less give me the fever. Especially the pop music I am a funkster ie Cameo, The Ohio Players (my home boys) Dayton Ohio in the house...

  • Yaw'll leave Justin Bieber alone he is a decently talented child no comparison is needed before it's over he may become a legend as well. give him time to grow and mature. Stevie had a shreeky voice when he was a baby boy and so did Michael and guess what Yaw'll did too! LOL Music is here for all of us to enjoy so stop the comparison's and criticisms just sit back and enjoy please?

  • @op80op1 somebody's got bieber fever

  • wow, wonderfull, maravilhoso, mui hermoso,

  • Man, Stevie took this song, Jimi Hendrix: "All Along The Watchtower", and Randy Crawford did "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" to death. Guess Dylan's a better writer than singer.

  • You people.. are still comparing Stevie to that cocksucker? -_-

  • i dislike this because i don't like it

  • yaya !! ben tryna find ths sonq for a f***n lonq tym mayn !!

  • And who wrote it ?? Thanks Bob and Stevie - great synergy you two - whoo big love xxxx

  • Another #1 hit for Stevie Wonder on the Rhythm & Blues charts. It was the 145th #1 R&B song of the Rock Era.

  • Grew up listening to the Kingston Trio version, which I loved. I was stunned the first time I heard this; so much more soulful.

  • I was going to comment then I looked down and I already posted on this marvelous song. Just look down a bit. I Love this awesome version by Stevie Wonder - it kicks anyone else's version - well, right out the door!!! This is a song that will forever give me chills and touch my soul. Just a beautiful song.

  • Absolutely superb, we are the same age, what happened to me???

  • Oh yeah! Stevie covered the %$#@ out of this song. I don't know if Dylan ever recovered enough from this one to perform it again.

  • Excellent!

For me, no better version exists of this great song...

    Perfection!

  • The best ever recorded version of "blowing in the wind". I always will remember.

  • This wonderful, in my opinion the best, version of "Blowin' In The Wind" never ceases to fill my heart, give me chills, and touch something down deep inside. The song was always a favorite. It has never failed to touch me after all these years; I feel certain it never will. Thank you for a meaningful, beautiful post.

  • One of my favorite song, during my High school years...............

  • Excellent

  • Stevie did a great job on this song

  • Stevie can make a revolution just with this song !!!

  • Talent

  • This is the man, the one and only Stevie wonder xxxxxx

  • wow

  • the beboppy style kind of ruins the message for me.... but i still love stevie

  • @squaltch ~ I had the same reaction, too. At first. But then it slowly dawned on me that Stevie flips Dylan's mournful masterpiece into a song of hope. And that's so totally Stevie.

  • Stevie is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Stevie is great but this version sucks. Stevie's got nothing on Bob.

  • I was given this album for my 15th Birthday, by an American Airforce Officer here in the UK just after it was released. The Officer said ''This is the future son, It'll get into your soul''! and it did. Even after all these years I still love Stevies music. I have EVERTHING he ever published music wise. The Officer married my sister!

Thanks Stevie for the joy you've bought to the world.

  • this song is the stuff

  • I love Peter Paul and Mary but this version trumps their version.

  • Ilovethis! Thanks so much for posting!

  • Donny Hathaway did such an outstanding job singing with Stevie. Sure miss his talent!!

  • @ursulamh i don't know if you're referring to another song, but on this one, the guy singin' with Stevie is Clarence Paul, who was his main producer during his teenage years.

  • Probably the best song to begin 2011..

  • Just luv this version, it has such a nice soulful melody to it. Great song!!

  • can someone tell me why justin bieber has too be mentioned in every god damn video on youtube when he doesnt have shit to do with it? Cant people just enjoy the music and forget about their hate for one time :)

  • @MusicLoverDk i get your point but you just mentioned him too.

  • @MusicLoverDk you've just mentioned him.. hehe

  • the best love it

  • Could someone upload the full length version of this song.....it was about 4:00 long (which was long for 1966)!

  • I was 10 when this came out. Stevie's voice blew me away. The words to this song has meaning. (I was in Birmingham, AL at the time) It's as significant now as it was then.

  • I can't get find a a good version of Bob Dylan singing this so I guess I'll settle for Stevie Wonder, WHO IS AWESOME!

  • Justin Bieber is NOTHING compared to music like this. NOTHING!

  • Wow...what a talent..and my best friend likes Justin Bieber and that makes me happy also...

  • how can some1 sound like this when hes 16?! OMG

  • what a voice! He was just a kid!

  • The answer is blowing in the wind :D (8)

  • Bob Dylan is my favorite artist, mentor, inspiration and some woulld even say god but even I admit that Stevie Wonder does this song bettre than him.

  • Almost unrecognisable as a Bob Dylan song... it's a credit to Bob Dylan that his songs can adapt so easily to different styles...

  • nobody sings this like stevie.......

  • steve wonder 4 life!

  • Who is singing background? Please?

  • @KARLIJIM The guy singin' background is Clarence Paul, Stevie's mentor and main producer for his teenage years. He actually gave 'Stevie Wonder' his name.

  • @jl2279 thanks a lot. he has such a complimentary voice and really adds to the song

  • haha da olds fav song

  • i hate covers where they change the rythm of the vocal part -.-

  • Been listening to this since 1970s and it still sounds as good nomatter how many times you hear it.Stevie is an absolute WONDER.

  • This song wraps itself around your heart and takes you through so many emotions by the time it's over you want to change the world and make it a better place. Amazing.

  • love mr wonderrrrrrrrrrrr ty for the music xx

  • Wow! He was tearin' it up even at 16 years old. Justin Bieber who???

  • @HipHopHermit3000 C'mon bro how is it that you put stevie's name on the same page as justin beaver? That is just pure disrespect to stevie man. Maybe you need to go and listen to justin beaver.

  • @coyote023u are so right stevie he the the man the only man

  • @HipHopHermit3000 yeah justin bieber has nothing on stevie wonder, he was freakin amazing at 16

  • @HipHopHermit3000 I had this exact conversation with my friend the other day.

  • Loved that song.then,Love it still now 1966- 2010 and the answer to those questions is still blowing in the wind.GO STEVIE.

  • @dot9miricle this song take me back to days of having nothing and yet a having everything at the same time, it was a time when music really ment something. and to this day when i'm down it lifts me upl

  • Oh my gosh when I listen to Stevie I just feel like..... crying ! so much his voice is awesome very poignancy

LOVE YOU FOR EVER STEVIE :D

  • ~+~+~*

  • is she from mt,view,,,n.c. ?

  • What a soul-stirring rendition of such an amazingly inspirational-type of song. If only more people had beautiful souls.

  • The memories - Stevie's version is the best.

  • I agree. Stevie definitely made the best version although there are many good covers such as by the Hollies, Joan Baez, and Johnny Cash

  • @GETTINGYOUNGERONE I like Stevie.. but no his version is not the best by any stretch of the imagination. Bob Dylan's will always be the best

  • @babyboo2146 Thanks Babyboo but Bob's version lacks emotion in my view. Have another listen to Stevis, the way he hums in the intro, the way he shouts it out, whereas Bob's is very mono-tone.

  • es la raja esta cancion !!

  • Bob Dylan and Stevie Wonder would make an awesome team.

  • that song is the best old song ever. could listen to it over and over again. love it love it love it.!!!!!!

  • This is the original "Sweet Soul Music" sound. I have this on the original 45 and it is so beat up, a chip off it at the edge, but it still plays complete and sounds good.

I can't get enough of it either!

It's too bad on this offering you can't hear the guy in the background 'cause his deep "soulsy" voice adds to it greatly.

    From a 60's teen.

  • i can listen to this track 24 hours , believe me ;) and cant get enough of it

  • That is so true I dont think I can get tired of listening to this

  • Fabulous.

    Such memories !!

    :))
