Weims are one of the most gentle breed out there. Unsupervised children alone with any animal is chemistry for potential issue. If no one was around who's to say the child didn't unintentionally provoke the dog too. Don't know. All I know is that this breed is not a violent breed and very people oriented. It's sad all around.
This is truly a sad incident. I own a Weimeriner myself and I'm in disbelief of this. If the child was unattended and the dog near the child, maybe the child grabbed the ears and pulled and would not let go ? Kinda like children do when we hold them and they latch onto your hair and not release. This breed is not an attacker!! What happened to the dog?? I hope it was not put down.
@Christian82869 You are such a stupid cunt. Of course the dog was put down, it killed a child you stupid hippy cunt. And stop blaming the fucking kid, you negligent cuntwipe, any dog is capable of killing, it;'s an animal with hunter instincts. You really deserve to die, here's hoping you do very soon. Peace out arshole.
@kimmois1 You are an astonishingly intelligent person who can find just the right words to explicitly express your very strong feelings. I hope you are a parent, because your children will one day help run this country and the world into the ground. You are right about dogs, any dog can bite, but you should also probably realize that dogs are domesticated and don't usually bite without cause... Like not having supervision. Parenting at work here.
I am not going to attack you like some of the others on here with their comments. I just wanted to ask if u though it was the 2 year old's fault. I own two weimeraners, but I know what they are capable of. Golden Retrievers are also gentle by nature but rank in the top five every year in biting people.I LOVE dogs but love people more. If a dog kills a person, particulalry a child in its own family, it should be put down..And again, i am a dog lover. But I do have perspective.
What a terrible story, poor child... Personally I'm more of a cat person, but I don't hate dogs. I'm also well aware of the basic rule never to let your children alone with a dog. However, why would you get a dog in the first place when you actually need to protect your children against it? It's not like I think all dogs are dangerous, but accidents do happen - even with dogs that seem to be under control, like they said in this video. No offense to dog people, but I think cats are 'safer' pets.
This is mind-boggling to me. I can't make my Weimaraner bite. She just doesn't have it in her. Unbelievably gentle and soft-mouthed. She takes all kinds of teasing and play and is so incredibly friendly. Loves children and adults. Strangers, familiars, doesn't matter. The old rule about family dogs still applies: PARENTS DON'T EVER LEAVE A BABY WITH A DOG. Very sad.
@SUPERPOOKIE93 i own a weim, mine will never kill a baby , but its a breed associated positively to people, its beauty and elegance are always admired as well as their abilities and people ive spoken to abt this feel sad for the dog, because its a Weim, if it were say a Pitbull they always find themselves unsympathetic, but THE REAL ISSUE IS THE NEGLIGENT HUMANS WHO OWN THESE DOGS.
Weims don't just bite for no reason, he was either untrained or that little kid did something to piss him off, I have a weim and he would never bite anyone, he could carry a raw egg in his mouth without it breaking. Those people are idiots, you can't have two weims and a baby running around unless the dogs are properly trained, which from the sounds of it "had the dog pull him around on a skateboard" they weren't.
-RIP 2 year old child -RIP the weim who was most likely killed soonafter
@LittleSugerOrMe erm yeah, any dog that is untrained could be unsuitable, Pit bulls are good dogs unless they are trained to fight, any dog could be trained to fight
I´m so sorry with this family!! I have also a weimaraner and can not imagine this to this dog it is definitly not common, never heard this before. that is so horrible for this family, i´m so sorry !
@TheRascalFlattsfan6 Did you even watch the video? It was a weimaraner who bit the little boy when he kept tugging his ears, the parents who were in the other room watching TV didn't even notice until they went to get some beer out of the fridge and they found the little boy dead on the ground
If it has a mouth, it can bite... That's what mouths are for. regardless of species, even. Eveything with a mouth can bite.

Oh my god! Its not a pitbull this time! What exactly does this mean is happening to evil Zupf? Maybe he is using more than 2% of his brain today?

Bullet for the dogs...unstable and unsuitable

This video would seem to contradict all of zupf's attempts at demonizing "pit bulls" through poorly-recorded local news reports.
Or should I conclude that Weimaraners are the next "vicious" breed ripe for banning?
