If the planes takes off and there are plastic cups, no real danger. But if the plane takes off and the glass breaks, it could be dangerous. I suspect--but i don't know for sure--that this is the reason for plastic pre-departure cups.
@MrAVFC2011 London is a fantastic city. Truly world class, no question. It's ridiculously expensive, but it's a great city. I would be very happy to live there, if I were rich!

However, out of SFO, they are our main airline, so it has been advantageous and convenient to fly UA. I fly star alliance, so that also helps quite a bit. However, there are plenty of airlines that are better than UA, but I do think UA has made tremendous strides to improve its product. Thanks very much.

@celineprettygirl That sounds like a great trip! If you're flying economy, don't expect too much, especially if you're on a B747. If you're on a B767 or a B777, it will be better in economy. Are you flying economy or business or first?

@UrbanGamers Thank you for your kind words. Yes, the B747 is really bad in economy. There are no individual screens (only the 1970's style projector type screen which you can barely see because there is so much light). If you can get on a 777 or a B767, they are much nicer in economy. Hope this helps!

@UrbanGamers I cannot remember what the food was like, to be honest. I have not flown 747 economy internationally since around 2005! I have always been upgraded. But I do know that they serve 2 meals, and I think that alcohol is free on the international flight. Definitely use seatguru to find the best seat!

i'm not sure, but when i was in Chicago ORD 2 weeks ago, i saw 3 lufthansa jets- 330, 340-6 and 747. the 74 was heading to frankfurt, the 340 to munich but the 330 to dusseldorf, berlin or hamburg. maybe thats just seasonal and munich-chicago is operated by a 330 in the winter? nice vid btw!

Great video of the food and lounge ! business class food can be a bit of a gamble, and sometimes the wrong presentation just ruins the whole dish. was wondering if it was a same plane service through to LHR ? what was the seating configuration ? and how long was the meal service from ORD-LHR ? i took Qantas A380 business full business load and it took 1.5 hrs for them to complete it ! a tad too long for my liking
@jk758 Yes, I agree. Some business class meals are great. Others, however, are just like, "I cannot believe they are serving this in business class!" It was not the same plane; the B767 that flew SFO-ORD flies to AMS. The seating configuration is 2-2-2, so it is very nice. The meal service is probably about 1 hour only, not too long. @sfflyer123 hmm 2-2-2 for a boeing 767 seems a bit cramped to me but good to know that u enjoyed it. was it fully-flat or inclined flat. some airlines are very cheeky when it comes to that and having flown on UA and SQ business class, which do u prefer ? since u are a star alliance member maybe u shd try All Nippon Airways ANA next time its really good.
@jk758 it was surprisingly spacious. not too bad. I would say SQ food is way better than UA in business class. SQ is legendary, so it definitely has an edge over UA business class. I will try ANA one day!

Sfflyer, after watching some of your videos, I've found out that you're not a coffee drinker! Tea with your desserts most of the time. Did you find rear facing seats strange on the planes, I think only United and British Airways offer them in their respective business class. Would someone correct me if I'm wrong? @hoho657chan Yes, I used to drink coffee, but I stopped. Only tea now. If you look at my Singapore Air business class trip SFO-HKG, you will see that I drank coffee there. All TRs before that, I drink coffee, also. The rear facing seats are great! Only for take-off and landings are they weird. Otherwise, they are fantastic. I think there are many other airlines that have rear-facing seats, but I am not sure which ones they are. I think UA and BA certainly are 2! Thank you for the comment.

I know LH is the biggest airline in Europe with some massive fleet of 600+ planes. I know Delta, AA and new United is bigger. Maybe Emirates. They are the 4th or 5th in the world according to that

i love this you are doing transatlantic trips like bus drives or sm.
as a contrast i'm am already pretty excited for my trip to san francisco in about 2 months with airberlin and just economy it will be so damn shitty haha anyways loved your video and looking forward to new ones....

The new service that they will start (is it dusseldorf to SFO?) should be with a new plane, so even though you are in economy, hopefully, your flight will be excellent. Thank you for the comment. @McTim123 I am not sure what they will use. I think A330 sounds reasonable. I know that Air Berlin does not normaly do transatlatnic service, so they must have gotten new planes for this route! Have a good trip!

i'm not sure, but when i was in Chicago ORD 2 weeks ago, i saw 3 lufthansa jets- 330, 340-6 and 747. the 74 was heading to frankfurt, the 340 to munich but the 330 to dusseldorf, berlin or hamburg. maybe thats just seasonal and munich-chicago is operated by a 330 in the winter? nice vid btw!

Great video of the food and lounge ! business class food can be a bit of a gamble, and sometimes the wrong presentation just ruins the whole dish. was wondering if it was a same plane service through to LHR ? what was the seating configuration ? and how long was the meal service from ORD-LHR ? i took Qantas A380 business full business load and it took 1.5 hrs for them to complete it ! a tad too long for my liking

@jk758 Yes, I agree. Some business class meals are great. Others, however, are just like, "I cannot believe they are serving this in business class!" It was not the same plane; the B767 that flew SFO-ORD flies to AMS. The seating configuration is 2-2-2, so it is very nice. The meal service is probably about 1 hour only, not too long. @sfflyer123 hmm 2-2-2 for a boeing 767 seems a bit cramped to me but good to know that u enjoyed it. was it fully-flat or inclined flat. some airlines are very cheeky when it comes to that and having flown on UA and SQ business class, which do u prefer ? since u are a star alliance member maybe u shd try All Nippon Airways ANA next time its really good.

@jk758 it was surprisingly spacious. not too bad. I would say SQ food is way better than UA in business class. SQ is legendary, so it definitely has an edge over UA business class. I will try ANA one day!

Sfflyer, after watching some of your videos, I've found out that you're not a coffee drinker! Tea with your desserts most of the time. Did you find rear facing seats strange on the planes, I think only United and British Airways offer them in their respective business class. Would someone correct me if I'm wrong? Thank you for your posting.

@hoho657chan Yes, I used to drink coffee, but I stopped. Only tea now. If you look at my Singapore Air business class trip SFO-HKG, you will see that I drank coffee there. All TRs before that, I drink coffee, also. The rear facing seats are great! Only for take-off and landings are they weird. Otherwise, they are fantastic. I think there are many other airlines that have rear-facing seats, but I am not sure which ones they are. I think UA and BA certainly are 2! Thank you for the comment.
