It wasn't white when Eric the Red named it, lol. It was green! BTW, so was Antarctica at one point. There are still hot springs in the crater of an underwater volcano where tourists can go for a swim -it's located at Deception Island on the peninsula of Antarctica.

The point is we have nothing to fear; it's been warmer before and Antarctica was a virtual paradise.
