  • your g-dcasts helped me get an A+ in my Judiac class. thank you sooo much

  • I love the animation and your series is the best around, but I really feel it's lacking understanding of our lineage at times. Like the take on the 'flaws' of Joseph. Joseph never wanted to 'get back' at his brothers like you say. 'Trick his brothers into leaving benyamin'?? That's not what Rashi says. And being so powerful, he could've done anything he wanted to his brothers. He was trying to make them do tshuva, and it worked.

  • @chunahy Hey thanks for the note! We love constructive criticism. One thing to know is that this project was undertaken to be 100% pshat Torah, no mefarshim at all. So when Liz Nord wrote this piece (we don't write them, our guest narrators so) she took the text at its literal word. But we also see where you're coming from, and it is indeed a valid criticism of the project. It may interest you to know that our forthcoming work is going to take the mefarshim into account in a unique way! THANKS!

  • @gdashdcast Thanks for the thanks.I got the part of not taking into mefarshim, I don't think that is what you guys do though.Like the plagues being a wake up call to the yidden, not just a punishment etc.I don't think this present narrative Is pshat.Rashi is though.he helps us understand what pshat really IS.Like the question from Joseph in Vayigash. Is my father still alive? How can we understand pshat on this. He has been talking about his father the entire episode!! so what's pshat?
