It was not a good deal because the $50.00 dollar one has a wrist communicator and has the lights on the wing,50 sounds ,and the scours are not visible,and,has three mode,like,space ranger mode,and toy mode, and I got the $50.00 one for $34.99 at target its way better than that one.I will send a video to you.

personaly, the $50 one is ment for collectors and older kids like 11 and up. this one is better all around this one is more for play than the $50 version.

@TankerRojas Only the $50 one glows in the dark, and none of them have the karate-chop action, unfortunately. There is a smaller figure that has karate-chop action but nothing else.

@boamuro lol dude, I don't know, maybe something about my store not carrying it. The wingspan is the same on all of the new 2009 figures. Only difference is the blinking light bulbs.

@Cobracatcommander The ratchets can make the knees bend but they can't move side to side on this one. They do in the $50 one.

I soooo want one! The $50 (<cough>$50<hack>?!!! for a toy!) one sounds so cool :) The one you got is also awesome :D.

I have the original 1995 Buzz (shorter wingspan + sticker remnants from something) and Woody (dad disassembled voicebox trying to fix it, which just made it worse, can't find half of it), and got a new one just for Christmas this year. I feel bad replacing my old one, and wonder if some kid would enjoy him more, even though I know its irrational.

@RevisedTV Yeah, the $50 one comes in a replica of the original packaging Buzz came in from the movie, and it probably comes with a collector's certificate of authenticity or something.

@viciousweasel22 I believe that was the earlier 90's version, wasn't it? That one had the karate chop action, but not as many movie accurate details, where these newer ones have more movie accurate detailing and no karate chop action, lol.

@timedasher Unfortunately this Buzz doesn't have the karate chop action because the jet pack piece is separate and you have to snap it on, so there's no way they could put a button in for it and make it stable :(

In a store I had seen some small Buzz that have the karate it was called something like "karate choppin' Buzz"

The Idea is fine, but those in the store had badly painted face details :/ problably a factory fault, but mattel should be more careful.

My bro used to have one one of the Buzz Lightyear's from long ago when it was a new movie. I couldn't tell you where it is now though. I don't think he was as articulated but he did have sounds... I think his wings didn't pop out on the old one.

This looks like a nice figure. I'd totally get one if I had the money!

I saw a $160+ one at Target, I think that's outrageous haha... and it was on sale! ^^;
