LDS prophets not biblical 1 of 2

I have a question, what about the prophets that came after Christ in the Bible? Was jesus really the last one? Or was the office of prophet only needed in the foundation building of the early church. But then that leads to- why does it say in revelations there will be 2 prophets?

So for thousands of years we have needed prophets, because the people needed direction from God, but now it's to easy, because we have the Bible? Come on you guys sound completely blind.

God has always called prophets, the LDS church is the only one who is brave enough to claim a prophet as was Moses. Nobody else is.

Where are the women prophets in the LDS church? They were clearly in the Old testament and New Testament: Deborah, Miriam, Huldah, Nadiah, Anna. If this is clearly a restoration, why can't a woman ever be a prophet? No disrespect but, it looks like man once again wants to keep the power to himself.

Be aware. The devil also knows the scriptures. But he uses them for wrong purposes. The Pharisees also knew the scriptures but they crucified Jesus and killed the apostles. A testimony of a prophet can't be proved but it is given through the Holy Ghost.

1. You wouldn't be rejecting "Mormonism", but rejecting JC to get a lower kingdom. Rejecting "Mormonism" is a broad terminology; you need to be more specific.

2. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do NOTHING, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. God is unchangeable! To say God has done away with prophets is only admitting that his church is not of God, or that God has nothing more to say to us. Weak argument.

No more prophets, eh? How about the two "witnesses" to be raised up just prior to the Second Coming? Both these are listed as "prophets." Jesus warned of false prophets, but he said nothing about there being no prophets. Agabus is mentioned as a "prophet" in Acts 11. John the Revelator also was clearly a prophet because he foretold the future, saw visions and warned succeeding generations of what would come. If prophets aren't needed, there's no need for a church, since no one has authority.

When people start giving other people power over them then they are stooopid - he who calls himself a prophet is JUST A MAN.. apostles ARE JUST PEOPLE, Joseph Smith made up the story in the BOM and plagarised the bible, he was just A MAN as well. As for Christ - I wasn't there, and he's not part of my belief system in that sense - Don't you think its time people stopped with the Christ thing altogether and started living?

The Mormons bow down to their prophets cause they believe they are more powerful than they are. ANYONE can talk to God and you don't have to be designated a Prophet to do it. You can talk to him and get messages and all kinds of things. I think its so short sighted of Mormons and others to think that an ordinary person can't receive his word.

ok. so I told the missionaries some things I got and all they could say to me was "Why would God talk to YOU?" I was disgusted by their attitude. Sure they believe in revelation but for some reason prophets are special.. and for what? General revelation for the whole world? WHY CANT A NORMAL PERSON GET THAT???? Thats just ridiculous. If someone told you what was going to happen in the world and it happened and he WASN'T a Mormon prophet you would't believe him/her no matter what.

1,381 times in the BOM and 613 times in the bible. An authentic ancient phrase. But why was it used so much? Because the entire phrase in hebrew or egyptian is represented by one symbol and takes up little space. It makes sense when you hear about the limited space available in the plates. Testes..no that's not true. You've misquouted/misinterpreted the Bible again. Peter was a prophet after Jesus crucifiction, "and upon this rock will I build my CHURCH" - the rock of revelation through a living prophet baby. It's true. BTW..thank you for providing a means for me to set the record straight and to testify of truth. Your many vids have been a great way for me and other to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
