  • Uhhh, pretty damn good

  • I'm American and I think we mumble a lot over here. I liked the comments telling you to try other accents, like British or Australian. Even Americans don't seem to like the sound of American English.. Hollywood for years had all the leading parts use pseudo-British accents, so the dialogue sounded like,"Dahling, dahling!" Apparently we didn't want glamorous characters to sound like ourselves.

  • In a pinch, remember Will Strunk, famous American college professor, who said, "If you don't know how to pronounce a word, say it loud!"

  • Your really good!!

  • keep your accent, a lot of us americans love accents. сохранить акцент, многие из нас любят американцы акценты. Oh and please excuse my bad russian :p

  • Thumbs up if you found this trying to prove that Chekov on Star Trek sounds fake. (No, I'm really not expecting any thumbs up...)

It's a little late to respond, but your English is very good and your accent barely noticeable. I agree that Americans like accents, but I hear that can get really irritating. I got a taste of that just going away to college, even though I'm from Louisiana. The people at college loved my tiny little accent. It got old.

  • Yeah this video is full proof that this girl I know named Christine Burns is NOT russian at all, she sounds nothing like this, I love this video regardless two thumbs up! :)

  • I want to hear you speaking spanish! :)

  • A small pebble under the tongue will assist in pronouncing certain words, remember to slow the verbiage down and relax and have fun with it. Also try some South Eastern US verbiage..

  • Your English is very good. You would do fine in America. Don't worry about the accent as you will always have it. Good luck to your future

  • keep the accent and your english is good

  • Very good accent to me ;-)

  • very good, almost no accent. you sound like you are a bilingual American.

  • hahahahahahahaha. you sound fucking stupid. shut the fuck up.

    .

  • Cool...

  • Great job:) try not to hold your L for so long, and work a little more with the M and S sounds.

  • No ones likes russians ...funny how they claim they are europeans . What a bullshit just take a look at ther slightly asiatic features like most of the russians.

    Russians are asiatic nation.

  • You sound good. Try pronouncing vowels a little more longer. English is a slower-paced language in the US. Very lax and laid back. You did good though

  • Aren't you suppose to say show me da plans? Why lose your accent? JUst learn how to soeak backwards...it's an aphrodisiac you know..;)

  • You don't need to get rid of your accent, just slow down & ununciate more (speak plainer). getting rid of an accent was big in the 80s & 90s

  • God I love that accent. Just sayin

  • Its good that you are trying, but I can barely understand anything you are saying when you start to read the text. Before that I understood everything.

  • I am amazed at how well you have learned english! I so want to go to either Russia or the Ukraine to improved my Russian. After several years worth of trying to learn it, I have only had limited success. It would probably take me a year of living there to speak it as well as you speak english. As for how well you are speaking, you have an accent, but it is not too thick. I wouldn't worry about being perfect. No accent makes one lose some of their charm. Many Americans love a foreign accent.

  • You speak good English, i only recognized your russian by the way you say "Rasha". (Russia)

  • yeah, don't worry, speaking as a professional, your accent is fine. Although, I suppose you were probably looking more for marriage proposals, than actual advice about your accent.

  • work on the vowels and be more relaxed)))

  • my girl is from st petersburg. and her accent is much worse then yours

  • Sexy

  • Maria, you sound just fine but if you really want to sound like Americans give this a try. Emulate the American Southern accent for a short time. It's an exercise in softening your vowels with the slowest possible delivery. After you've mastered this, then spend as much time correcting what you've just learned. By then, you should be where you want.

  • I think its sexy. if you are trying to change it (which i do not recomend...) you need to go over vowels this is your biggest issue, then what parts of words you stress. good luck either way!

  • sounds great! :) good job!

  • Excellent! I have no trouble understanding you, you are quite fluent! Oh and bit sexy as well.

  • One small suggestion is to work on your O's and "ooo" sounds, as in "hope" and "too". These are a little pinched and need to be opened up. I hope that makes sense and is helpful.

  • You hardly have an accent, relative to many foreign speakers. You obviously have listened to a lot of American speech, because you have a good deal of the cadence down, and your R's are very American, as well. Good luck!

  • Very, Very Sexy Love it (;

  • It sounds really good, and sexy ;)

  • Your "r" sound is very strong. Other than that your accent is very good.

  • Very good English! Whoever doesn't find your accent sexy is just plain jealous

  • Harasho Bliat

  • I liked your stereotypical accent better :3 but you could easily have passed for midwestern american.

  • @DeusSuetonius what i mean is, when you were serious, it was almost perfect :)

  • @DeusSuetonius also its not "smooke" its "sm-oh-kuh" underemphasised.

  • Your pronunciation is really good! The only problem I really see is your intonation. Relax your voice. :)

  • Your english is really really good, much better than a lot of people i know. Especially considering you are living in russia.

  • sexy (duh)

  • your actually very good :)

  • you're really good and better than all the russian speaker I've met so far, but you can still tell that your foreign. keep practicing, you're already good but I'm sure you can do it better ;)

  • The teachers don't need to pay attention to pronunciation (I don't know how to spell XD). If you're trying to get like the United Kingdom english down pronunciation has to be like precise if it's American english its just like fuck it pronounce it how ever... other than that its PERFECT!

  • be proud of your accent

  • Your pretty good! But Yeah we tell u have an accent.

  • theres lots of people in america that sound like there from a foreign country. i can tell your foreign but not really where from. it would be normal to meet you on the street and hear your accent. its not bad. i can understand you.

  • Americans really like accents.. epsecially russian accents. Keep in mind that most americans don't even know our own language so you're already ahead speaking two languages. You'll do just fine if you ever come to the US.

  • As far as I'm concerned, you English language was excellent, Great job

  • i think its sexy.. but it sounds like you're american mimicking a russian accent.

  • When you're English, any other accent is at the very least intriguing... but "hottest" are Australian, Irish, Scottish, of course Russian

Time to go search for some Aussie accent videos

  • Are you insane! Why would you want to get rid of your accent? That's like a French girl wanting to get rid of her accent? Do you have too many guys hitting on you or something? Your English is fine and understandable and the accent is beautiful.

  • Damn these russian ladies are way sexier than the ladies in the states!

  • Muy bueno.

  • Sounds great I love the russian accent

  • your pretty good , your "R"s could use a little work but thats all i can really hear .

  • I understood you, clean and clear when you weren't reading. When you read it gets garbled, but still understandable.

  • very good

  • You've obviously been practising a long time. Your efforts are being rewarded. Very good English.

  • i was searching for the Russian funny accent , i am disappointed on the other hand you are Lovely.

  • Awesome! :D

  • видно что много раз тренировалась перед зеркалом)))я тоже так делаю))а вообще хорошее произношение

  • I think its really really GOOD! WoW!

  • good pronunciation keep doing ... se ya

  • Marie, you sound sexy when you speak English. Your accent is better than mine (I started out life in Canada speaking a dialect of French). You are doing fine at your pronunciations.

  • it sounds better than most! keep it up

  • I'm reading War and Peace and there's a Russan woman in the first chapter, hence me searching for a russian speaking english kind of accent lol

  • by the way. my email address is holdinmyhorses@gmail.com

  • I'm an american man living in Russia.

Russian girls love american accent when speaking Russian.

  • Slow down, you're about 40% too fast. Otherwise not bad.

  • sounds good to me I can notice hints of accent but your english is good I will add you on my favorites :)

  • Try to say: Squirrel.

  • It sounds funny, sexy, AND weird.

  • i love the russian accent. it is probably my favorite accent

  • i dont know about accent but ur sexy

  • Don't hide your Russian accen't they are sexy : )

  • Your English is fine and clear. The accent is not a problem. It sounds European, which is appropriate because you are from Russia. If you try to change it, it will just sound weird.

  • эффект достигнут. если конечно ты не собираешься подрабатывать шпионом

  • Im russian but born in Symphorople Ukraine,

  • YOU ARE GREAT!

  • Ran out of letters! Be aware of where your tongue is. Oodachee!!

  • It sounds wonderful! Of course guys love your accent. If you are really trying to lose the accent ( for whatever reason) then here is one tip. I speak English and am trying to learn some Russian. To make these sounds ( as in nyet, for example) I have to put my tongue in a strange position at the back and roof of the mouth. This position is a habit for you as it seems that sound is used constantly in Russian. So "hello" comes out as "hellyo", with a Russian accent. Be aware of where your

  • Damn love the way she sounds... Throw me some digits...

  • Your enlish accent is amazing for russian girl ;)

  • yeah it's perfectly ok to have your accent we like it, it is fine

  • need to work on your R sound. and let it flow more; sounds slow jerky and Russian in parts.

  • Comment removed

  • your English sounds good to me

sounds nice with the Russian accent

  • any woman with accent makes them way more attractive then a non accent, especially if theyre russian i <3 russian woman dont lose that accent! :)

  • Your accent is VERY attractive. Just sayin'...

  • im an esl teacher n i can tell u that ur english is wonderful. your pronunciation isn't american english, but that's okay. everyone has an accent and i can understand you when you speak -- that's all that's important. :) if you'd like any notes on improving your pronunciation, please send me a message and i'll forward them to you :)

  • great! i think your english really good! i'd like to speak like you

  • I really think your english great! i'd like to speak well like you^^

  • aylayk:)

  • I'm Peruvian and your Russian we have hot accents

Your english is very good!you have no that strong russian accent but i can notice that you are not a native speaker from the United states, i'm pretty sure you know Lena Katina From ex t.A.T.u. group, right? well i notice that Lena has not a russian accent i mean i can't notice if she is or not speaking with an accent but i can notice in your accent

Put videos of you speaking in spanish, for sure i'm gonna notice your russian accent in Spanish

  • wow there are a lot of russian girls on youtube

  • Your dictation was not as good as your conversation. It wasn't as easy to understand. I had to concentrate on the meaning much more.

  • its fine! my friend has the funniest russian accent. she sounds like an angry man when she talks. i try to tell her they dont all sound like that. you dont sound like an angry man. your A's are too hard.

  • ur just a rusian bitch

  • @NoOTiiBoY And your just a fool who can't spell Russian :)

  • When you speak sounds great...when you read not that great, pero puedo entender todo.

  • sounds good

  • i can understand sounds good i like it it reminds me of my good Turkmenistan friend Sardar, and my Usbekistan brothers.... just love Russians.

  • Lol, your accent sounds pretty cool but it's not as heavy as other Russians' English accents that I've met. That "horrible Russian accent" is what my science teacher had in High School :) Anyway, your english is just fine and quite perfectly understandable to me.

  • Hi Amazin3z, your pronunciation sounds good for me. I think that's no problem to have a russian accent. The most important thing is that everybody can understand you. I'm German (Bavarian) and for me the typical russian accent is very easy and very clear and I like it. In every part of the world everybody has an different accent. Maybe the doric scots accent (see watch?v=tr0erVo3EP8 ) is different from an accent in the southern part of GB.

  • выдаёт только мимика) очень напряжённая, уверен со временем от неё и следа не останется) а если только слушать, акцента почти не слышу)

  • When I look you in the face , I can understand you just fine . Maybe this is a good thing , The eyes are the windows to your soul . PEACE

  • you did very well you just have a strong pronunciation in your letters Americans are very relaxed in the way we use our mouths in our language... try not to focus on what you are saying as much as you should focus on what the point of what you are saying is... we use our words more as a simple way to communicate rather then being the point. just look at the music videos.. most words are fake and not as strict as they should be on the verbal standing of the letters

  • You're fine when speaking English, although you do stutter which is normal. Don't worry about trying to get an English accent, as there are too many. Personally, I enjoy a Russian accent on a woman, more than a man speaking it.

  • Russian accents are the most beautiful out of all languages.

  • Your accent is really light. XD I have a friend who has been in the US for a number of years and has a heavier accent than you.

  • Excellent English but if you want to lose the "accent" you would need to learn from someone with a dialect in England.

I once met a German waitress in Munich who spoke English with Liverpool accent, this was due to her boyfriend being a squaddie (soldier)from Liverpool stationed over there.

  • would like me practice my russian :) hi

  • ваш русский акцент хорошо

  • I love russian girls accents. They are sexyyy

  • You're good! It sounds a little accent-y but its not bad at all!

  • you sounded really good i like it now I'm American i wanted to learn Russian all my life but i need help it's hard please help.

  • Блядство, разврат, наркотики!

  • or whateeeevar

  • молодец, нормальный акцент у тебя, немного просто тебе в сфере англоязычной надо побыть и все. (привет с США)

  • i was born in russia and i never had a russian accent

  • sounds pretty normal

  • Hola Maria. Yo hablo Espanol tambien :) It's actually my first language. Hablo tres idiomas: Espanol, Ingles, Italiano. I'm learning Russian believe it or not. I've been studying for 2 months now and love it. Your accent does sound like someone who speaks Spanish funny enough. But you're very understandable.

  • Comment removed

  • I think Spanish has changed your accent as well. Based on the combination, it sounds more Scandinavian than Russian, but if you were from St. Petersburg, that would make sense. It does not sound very Russian, but it is clearly что-то акцент.

  • I personally love a Russian accent. I think your good at it :)

  • Mostly all Americans think accents are attractive so your actually lucky to have one.

  • @SweetSarahization

    I know I do. ;)

  • No, it sounds good, it's a very light accent. Can I come over to your house sometimes or something?

  • удивлён, англоязычные нормально относянся к русскому акценту

  • dont try to get rid of the accent it's apart of who you are , you speak english very well and i probably speak for most men here ,but , i think an accent is sexy ,it definately gets my attention .

  • I will NEVER laugh at a person speaking English as their 2nd language. Yes, you do have an accent. But, there is no shame in that. I have NO problem understanding you. You're accent is who you are. (Russian accent is very sexy). I am an American and I speak two 2nd languages (Tagalog and German) so, I can understand your concern. Relax, you are doing fine.

  • 0:27 hard to determine accent *kkkk

  • @troller1234567890987 No i'm not :D . Sorry i'm busy i'm celebrating new year with my family :)

  • @troller1234567890987 you too :D oh wait you are a troll, Hi TROLL :D

  • In America we use definite and indefinite articles in a much more colloquial fashion than other Englishspeakers. We don't say, "he has headache", we say, "he has a headache." We say "he has the flu", not "he has flu." The British say that a person is in hospital or on holiday but we say, "he is in the hospital", or "he is taking a holiday". You sound great by the way.

  • It sounds weird. And too fast! I'm from America

  • Please stop sounding so American! Yuk!

Expose yourself to some non-American media (British, Irish, Australian, New Zealand, Jamaica even!), just please not another American accent!

  • Funny

  • You sound okay, but you kinda need to soften the tongue..... lol I don't really know, I'm not american XD You don't need it to sound perfect, but it's really nice to see that you're determined to learn... :))

  • I had no trouble understanding you at all. You're right, It is quite difficult to learn more than two languages.

  • you did pretty good besides your sexy hot and the accent sound sexy

  • я нихера непонел

  • MOLO DETC Bbl Ya3blk AHGELCKI OcheHb PREKPOCHOble, Xoposho C HOBblM GODOM

  • your english is more comprehensible than lots of native english/american/ australian/ whatever speaking people

  • i have to pay attention to understand but not bad. and its hot =]

  • awesome:)

  • Good job! Your english is very good. (:

  • Your accent is great and you speak it very fluently, good job!

  • love it though :)
