It wasn't an album release, during his 7th album (heffy end) promotion, he wrote it in korea, just a song that came to mind i guess and recorded it at the end of his 7th album promo. If you bought the 15th aniv. album, it comes up as the last track on the 7th album, I have it lol. Probably will do live performances on his soon to be released album. Maybe there will be a re-recorded version in the new album? That would be Taiji-like.

Well to be honest, the 7th album doesn't really have a title, if you look at the cover it just says "Taiji 7th" but Robot was the intended title song, like THE song of the album, hence the "man with nails" pic. But throughout the album heffy end was kind of the FAN favorite when the album was released. Sorry if I misled, and yes the Taiji Boys came out on tv shows quite frequently actually, that's true.

The CD case is marked as "7th Issue" which I always assumed the album name to be. But after looking at other Taiji albums, I guess the album title may be "Issue" perhaps drawing on Korn's album "Issues." But Korean albums in general are merely referred to by their release number, so most albums bear no name whatsoever.

It's more of a stand against korean music/entertainment. How korean "singers" are nothing more than entertainers/comedians/actors because kids with no skills(any artist from SM) come on tv to be a star rather than a musician. He doesn't feel that he has to come out on korean "variety" tv shows to entertain people, he's a music artist. That's a part of it at least.

He hated the enclosure and wanted to be free. that is why he made his own taiji company and started to do music without anyone's commands. he is now free, as a musician should be, not like the idol groups in korea who are still under the control of companies such as SM

Just want to point out the flaws in people's argument when some compares MCR and Seo Taiji. MCR's major break out was followed by their release of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge; I think most didn't even know who MCR was before that. But the thing is.. MCR's album was released on June 2004 whereas Taiji's 3rd is released on Jan 2004. I REALLY doubt that Taiji even knew who MCR was when he was working on 3rd album. Thus I don't think it is right to infer that Taiji was influenced by MCR.

Heh. When he went solo, his albums have been experiments on whether or not American genres can be adapted to Korea's own style. Naturally they will resemble the American standard setters. The first could be compared with Nirvana (though I'm not introduced to Nirvana proper...), the second with Korn and the third with Chemical Romance. Alternative rock, hardcore and emo weren't really mainstream in Korea before he tried them first...
