hey ppl i want to cut my cats off my 1994 ford F150 but what will it do to MPG??my O2 sensor is b4 my first cat so i don't have to worry bout that i'm thinking bout just taking off one cat that it can putting a performance one in replace
if anything removing 1 should make your MPG go up cuz it breaths easier.....unless it makes you have your foot in it more then it would use more!! thats what I have....1 cat removed and straight pipes from there back...same motor as you and all!!
I don't really remember, but I think it was in the 20's farenheight. I have started it as low as -10F and it fired right up. that truck has done lots of plowing this year. we got 19 inches in one day last week and she got a great workout plowing and pulling people out including a 08 f350 quad cab, and a mid 80s chevy....both with plows and stuck in snowbanks.
Why didnt you take both cats off? I have a 1995 F-150 with the 5.0 and flowmaster cat back. Thinking about taking both cats off. Think it would make my truck any louder
well it was a work in progress. taking the first off with no muffler to see how it was and if I didn't like it then maybe remove the other, and put a muffler on or something of the sort....but I ended up happy with it how it was. I will say when i got it both cats on there and nothing else and it was very very quiet.....so remove one at a time I suggest.
but r they both cats cuz i removed one of mine off my 93 5.0 5sp (the 2nd 1) and i thought the the first one was the resignator??? and one of my buds has both off and ran true duals and fuck is it loud
I was told it was 2 cats to get the emissions down, but that could be wrong. it was definitly a cat that came off and the one in front of it does not look like a resonator to me.
k well anyway im sic of the damn 5.0 so im puttin a 73' 351 wedged out and gettin rid of all the emmishin BS any way with true duals with cut offs behind the front fender. am aiming 4 450 hp b4 nos. hope the mazda 5sp thats in it holds up
Started right up! And good exaust sound!
