I have a DW Collectors Solid Shell 14 x 8, but i just can't get the sound like the snare in this video. Im tuning it moderatly tight on the batter (using dw stock head) and tight on the bottom head. I just cant get a "more focused" sound. Why is this?

What's the difference of sound between a edge an a super solid?

The Edge Snare Drums are very focused in their sound. The Super Solid Snare Drums are more sensitive and have a better "sweet spot" in all tuning ranges.
