Impressive. Looks like a good, all-around truck. Seems like it might be kinda 'pricey' to make the conversion but I really like the concept. Brings up a lot of questions though. What kind of milage does it get? I assume the front diff is stock, What are you using for Rears? An extra axle would no doubt be a power drain, Were there any engine Mods? And I'm also guessing the rear suspension was scratch built?
@NedPeppers It is alot of fun and the 6x6 makes it alot more capable offr0ad. Dodge prototyped this concept for towing applications, of which we had one and it was awesome. You could tow 26000lbs, and put 8000 in the bed. This one was built for offroad competition. It mpg is 6-8. all Axles are rockwell 2.5 tons. Truck is stock except for axles, suspension mods, bumpers, and cage. V10 engine. 11 years and 139K miles of hard wheeling and still going strong.
did you build this yourself? I had a 4x4 dodge 2500 Used off road in west virginia my son loved that truck he told every one he seen daddy drives a dodge ram but im sure your kids have a lot of fun with yours to have something like that and still be street legal keep it up keep posting and we will keep watching
Yeah, we get that kinda response from wanna-bes and posers. It is not the most capable rig out there, but for a street legal family wagon it is awesome. Besides, in competitions it has done well. In one Rock competition we were laughed at by all the Rock buggy guys, until we took first place and killed their times by 2 whole min. So in snow, glaciers, rocks, mud, sand, tree, towing, rescue, recovery, and cruising down the street it cant be beat.
This kind of truck could be one the best choices for expeditions in the wild.
