I'm an atelete always looking for ways to eat better. Thanks for the recipe...I made this a couple of hours ago, and I'm quite satisfied...Good luck with your weight loss endeaver...
I love all of your recepies, and hope you continue to post. Dont worrie about haters, they are simply jealous! Who cares if it Looks Authentic?? (Not much foriegn food in the US does) lol If it tastes great and is pouch friendly........then I am all for it!
I noticed right away that all these ingredients are Wal-Mart products. I recently worked in the produce department. This receipe was similar to my experiments in Phad Thai Chicken. But I learned something good. If you want to get close to a real thai flavor, try this. Make the sauce independantly and set aside. Use 4tblsp of tamarin sauce, 4tblsp of fish sauce and 1 tblsp of coconut palm sugar. Use peanut oil. Keep the rest of the ingredients minimal and you'll be close to Chicken Phad Thai.
im so sick of people complaining about cooking videos! Oh im from so so and this is not a real (dish name here).. geez. I really think thats petty.. Food should be adjusted to taste and preference! Some people dont have the resources to get the 'correct' ingredients, or they just simply want a healthier version so they improvise and its allowed..
True, a non-WLS person may have more noodles but we try to limit our carbs and up our protein content. I know what you mean about the ketchup, I thought the same thing but it is very good. Not authentic, I'm sure, but still very tasty.
Just in case you ever go to thailand, they said it like Pod Thai (like a pod..) and also as another option for you, if you go to the asian market, you can find fried tofu. Mom (100% thai) makes it with chicken and fried tofu....guess you could fry it yourself too and have a little more added protein in there
Tempted to make some soon! Might have to wait a litle longer, just got back from Thailand, still rice and noodled out
Yum! Looks delicious! I might even add some peanut butter to the sauce, yum!

As a rule, I guess 2 WLS portions per non-WLS portions- give or take, depending on where you're at in your WLS journey.

What store did you purchase the noodles from? Thanks!
pinkdes2ny 2 years ago
I think I bought them at Wal-Mart, if not it was a store like Bi-Lo or something. Not a specialty store or anything.
