  • Trust in lucifer. Satan saves.

  • When is STRYPER going to do a DEICIDE cover? HAIL SATAN

  • I saw Stryper in our city's major theater and we had seats on the orchestra pit.Apparently this one rises up for concerts, and it was awesome.Had to wear ear plugs being so close but it rocked!Earlier that day we met 3 of them at a Turtles Records and Tapes store got pics and autographs. When they got ready to leave the cars out back someone had locked them and couldn't find the keys so they stood around while we all chatted with them.Rbt didn't come he was sick and wanted to play the show that nt

  • they will remember every single thing over and over again for all eternity and wish they had listened to the Jesus

  • The stage looks like a construction site with so much black and yellow. Lol.

    Great song and band.

  • @darthtalonisback not a construction site lol its their B-hive

  • Not a christian by no means, but when I seen this vid in the 80's I had heard of Stryper but not there music. I also didn't know they were a christian band. But I caught this Vid on MTV and I was like "man these guys rock! Damn good song!" At the end I seen that bible passage on the stage and that gave away the religion thing. I didn't care they were christians, they still rocked and had some good tunes. However this one is still my favorite. It's a perfect balance of music and lyrics.

  • @DoubleVisionandco, hey if u read the bible u will understand it better and why are u not a christian u need to because when he comes back he will take everyone of his people and leave people like u here and u will burn for ever nonstop !!!!!!!

  • @jas0720 Thanks for informing me of such devine information. Having grown up with a christian fanatical kook for a mother I've heard that over a million times. Now, when I stop laughing I'll let you know. I don't like christians, I can't feel sorry for anyone who isnt intelligent enough to think for themselves that they have to let a book think for them. There is so many contridictions in the bible it's not even funny. "Thou shalt not kill" yet he told king david to kill the philistines.

  • @DoubleVisionandco It is not a sin to kill if you are a soldier in a war or apart of law enforcement upholding the laws of the land as long as you are in the line of duty. That is a myth you've heard about the bible.

  • Check out my videos. Thanks:)

  • Theocracy Watch

  • awesome decade

  • Say cheese

  • Learn Strypers songs and people will ROCK B4 Thee Alter and it will b inspiring to the people

  • I have loved these guys ever since I was 13 and I still love them to this very day stryper rocks!!!!

  • Back in the 80s in the state of NJ I wasn't a christen and didn't know anything about god and this song came with this very video and I was blow that you could have this style of music and have good words in the sing and this song still gets me even today.I think god made styper for ne because he knee what style ofusic I would like.thank you god and thank you styper

  • I was christian then back then, but i still respect the music and these guys, even if i don't support their idea of "GOD" anymore.

  • Big hair, big moves, big tone. Yep, the 80's were great!

  • @MrDarinWarren Yep right there with ya. YEAAA

  • the lead singer lives in my town and i used to be friends with his hot daughter!

  • I loved these guys when I was in junior high. Then I kinda went to darker metal.

  • brings back good memories

  • PPH where are you? It's James!

  • The black n yellow also mean's "Yield," as I remember many years ago reading a Robert or Michael Sweet interview saying that most road caution signs are in the colors black n yellow... So basically it would mean Yield, sin ahead.... (Did I explain that right, haha)

  • Stryper is so AWESOME!!!!

  • By his stripes We are healed.....Thank you JESUS!

  • The lyrics are about god

  • funny thing is ,that the lyrics are about God or woman?

  • @sendthelot - God all the way my friend! :)

  • @sendthelot God !!!

  • This is a good darn band. This is different I love Stryer.

  • I'm thinking we should track these dudes down for our new show, Rock n Roll Encore. We are bringing back METAL...one band at a time!

  • What was the significance of the black and yellow theme?

  • @kai223noa Not sure, just the band color.

  • @kai223noa Stryper's dawned Yellow and Black Striped color scheme is a direct reference to the whiplash scourges given by Pontius Pilate to Jesus, which came from the King James Version of the Bible's Isaiah 53:5.

  • and He will say , Get away from Me, I never knew you

  • Stryper Rocks!!!!!!!

  • It's music people, just enjoy it, and as a "Christian" there is basically no way to argure for a "literal" translation of the bible, we wer not created in 7 days and if you are a member of some weird religion and are all upset, read the bible and pick up a history book and let me know the religion that Jesus started...but I really don't want to argue lol

  • Ghostblood...I can listen to anyone's critiques but....I have to say this, while stryper is by no means a huge band, countless bands like Def Leppard and ACDC are still selling out as big of venues as bands like Nickleback do....TODAY. In 25 years, I will remember Hysteria, or Photograph, and still not remember anything of much music since the "hairband" era

  • God approves spandex on guys.

  • 良いわ〜♪

  • wati i thoughts this title said soethin else lolol

  • whip it brought me here..

  • god....this band blows. Now I remember why I hated this band.

  • @Ghostblood1334 This band kicks ass bro.

/18 year old atheist of 9 years

  • @SeaShellNecklaceBrah I could care less if they are christian. This music sucks ass. The only reason I looked this bands up is because I had a conversation about the 80s pop metal scene. And Stryper came to mind. Hair metal is the worse genre to hit metal since nu metal in the mid-90s.

  • @Ghostblood1334 In the metal genre, nothing is worse then grunge. I still see hair metal bands, not as popular as they were in the 80s or early 90s, but they are still around. Where are all the grunge bands? Either broke up cause they sucked or they changed their music cause grunge sucked. Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam, two perfect examples.

  • @PanicPuppet06 pearl jam was kick asss thouhh

  • @Ghostblood1334 hair metal came out in the early 80s and It really doesn't matter. So just stop spamming us and we won't get mad.

  • @Ghostblood1334 fuck yu you gosddamn pussy

  • Uh, Xians? Some parties you just are NOT invited to----this proves it.

    Ugh. Dreadful.

  • is it me or does it sound like theyre saying cumming on you?

  • I haven't heard this song in years, and I still love it. I still have the cassette of this album. One of my favorites.

  • So many levels of bad.

  • @tixmastr These guys were huge in the 80s. Sorry had to give you a thimbs down for that....

  • @vitopowers74 @tixmastr...as much as I like this song, don't fool yourself, Stryper was never "huge" Leppard was huge, Bon Jovi was huge, etc...this was some good fun 80's hair band music like "Uncle Tom's Cabin" don't read too much into it

  • oh, vitopowers74 that should have been directed to, but tixmaster the song is not that bad, would put above most of what you listen to I'm sure and it prob. has more lasting power, even though it wasn't a huge hit

  • @tixmastr I just learned to spell yesterday......

  • I'm a Chrsitian, but I prefer more Maiden/Priest/Ac/dc stuff to this Christian rock. Not a bad idea this band had though, I suppose

  • Nice song! Proud of these soldiers for Jesus Christ! :D

  • wow, I am number 1,763,777 to view this. Anyone who knows Stryper will app reciate the 777 at the end of my numberd view :)

  • Still holds up!

  • 224 peoople called the devil

  • You realize these guys weren't christians right? Look up their background dork! It was all for money!

  • yeah yeah yeah! great band but too bad Jesus answer is always no! look at Jaycee Dugard, the girl stolen at 11 and abused for 18 years. blindmen dont need saving, our best pianists are blind! for better talent and the truth check out Rush CARAVAN and CLOSER TO THE HEART and 30 years of top notch talent. they r the true trinity

  • i love the song

  • Stryper was the first Christian Metal band I ever listened to. Petra was next. When I hear both I remember when I was a twenty-something raising my children alone. My beliefs were what kept me going.

  • @MissCat1958 yeah i remember watching the stryper videos on mtv back in the early '80s. to this day they are, in my opinion, one of the best bands in Christian music-- the other being Petra. this band is the reason why Is. 53:5 is my favorite bible verse. it is the first bible verse (outside of Ps. 23 and Jn. 3:16) that i committed to memory. and just like you it has held me up in tough times.

  • god bless all of you here on you tube........Tim

  • "Can this record meet the wall?"-Kerry King

  • This is horseshit.

  • I am only 18 years old and I grew up listening to this band. They are the best at what they do and I am glad that my dad introduced them to me. I love Stryper and all that they stand for. My all time favorite song of theirs is Honestly. I love that the mix the christian songs with the metal style music. Thank you for posting this. To Stryper: Keep playing and spreading God's message! Thanks again and God bless! <3 :)

  • I'm not a religious person at all. I am on the other hand a musician and I say fuck it. Just a band playing the music they like and saying what they want, can't fault them for that? If you do your probably just a poser, playing and thinking what someone else wants you to!

  • Wow, memories, memories. Eventhough the band was christian, Stryper ruled with all the other metal bands back in the day in 85' like Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Dokken, Judas Preist, Scorpions, ETC. I miss the way the metal vibe used to be back in the 80's.

  • @YouPubeist troll

  • I still do the hard edged guitars and all that, I believe in God and I have a Doctor's degree in Pharmacy. The intelligent design of life is unavoidable to me, but there are ways to honor God and ways not to, and doing it with a metal solo just is not filled with God's Glory, I'm sorry. Neither is pointing to Heaven after a touchdown or something, it just cheapens it. But if you eventually arrive at a higher place then I have to say go with it.

  • @sirthor00 you're saying you can;t believe in god and play a guitar solo? and how do you know what is in god's glory? you are NOT god, you are the reason i say religion is filth and why i dont go to church

  • @ETSJoshVoxx The difference between religion and Christianity is this. Religion is mans way of trying to find god. Christianity is a one on one relationship withjesus christ. So many people get it crossed. In the bible it says to worship skillfully with a loud noise. That seems like metal to me, and guitar solo's are very skillfull. I play worship metal. Brutal heavy metal. But the difference is, my words and message one of worship and a cry to god. most people are very close minded that's all

  • @TheSchafer78 i agree 100%

  • Christian or not these guys RULED!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @sloaneVLOGS Just dig deeper, some Christians are pretty cool. Most of them are my friends

  • @sloaneVLOGS Uh, God is pretty badass.

  • @Andrew33416 Not really. There's nothing bad ass about following the rules and loving everyone (which none of you do, by the way). It's almost funny to hear some hardcore metal songs about "praising His name" or how GREAT He is.

  • @Andrew33416 anyone who's read the bible should know that. God Forever.

  • @sloaneVLOGS When I hear the word "Christian" my first thought is of the disciples...some really hardcore sinners who left their lives to follow Jesus. I think of the bikers who ride to honor the Father...who give of themselves to bless those less fortunate. When I hear that word I think of people whose strength comes from knowing the Father, not from some physical ability or training.

  • @MissCat1958 I have strength that comes from believing in myself and my own abilities. I can pull through the tough times on my own. I don't need some God's shoulder to cry on. I have real people I can rely on. I don't generalize all of you like this, but I feel some people of religion are weak.

  • @sloaneVLOGS Actually, one has to be strong to be a Christian. You don't know how hard it is to follow what you know in your heart to be right while everyone else is doing their own thing. Especially when you're young. I'm not perfect. I've slipped. A lot. But the peace within lets me know I'm forgiven when I do if I ask for that forgiveness. I'm a mere woman with all the frailties that come with it. But I have God's strength to get me thru the hard times.

  • @MissCat1958 I HAVE MY OWN DAMN STRENGTH TO GET ME THROUGH HARD TIMES! You think it's not hard being an Atheist in this world? You think it's all rainbows and butterflies? Well it's not! Every religion is shoving its beliefs down my throat every where I go, ESPECIALLY Christianity. It makes me feel like I'm bad, that even though I try to be good and try to love everyone that people still don't accept and think that I'm evil. It's a horrible feeling. I don't need anyone's shoulder to cry on.

  • @sloaneVLOGS you're crying about it right now, kid. calm down.

  • @emevasmusic No, I'm not actually. This is how I think and it's how I've thought for years. I'm strong enough that I don't need to believe in some characters from a book written THOUSANDS of years ago. I have logical proof of what I believe in instead of just old fairy tales.

  • @sloaneVLOGS too bad those 'characters' have more written proof of their existence than most of the figures you read about in any history book. if you don't believe Jesus or his disciples existed then you might as well say Christopher Columbus didn't either... #themoreyouknow

  • @emevasmusic What? WHAT? So you're saying that if I write a million different books about how Winnie the Pooh was real, spread them all over the world, translate them into a hundred different languages, and tell everyone I know that he is real that a thousand years in the future people will believe what I have written JUST because there's lots of written "proof"?

  • @sloaneVLOGS The New Testament references too many people that could have verified its authenticity at the time, people who weren't affiliated with Christianity at all like Herod and Pilate among several others who have nothing to gain by verifying. If it had been faked the people from that time could have verified it and dispelled it. Of course it was roughly two thousand years ago so it does take a bit of faith. However I would enjoy it very much if you wrote books about Pooh being real.

  • @halfcabdisaster7 But WHY? Why would anyone choose to believe something that "takes a bit of faith" when there's actual proof of something otherwise right in front of their faces? Not to mention how prejudiced and small-minded some of the teachings in the Bible are. Why would you choose something traditionally closed-minded? UGH

  • @sloaneVLOGS Ha ha, that is a comparatively small leap of faith since you can't prove to me that reality is actually real, every belief system including atheism requires a very large leap of faith. You may consider it closed minded and that's fine but I believe that there are absolute rights and wrongs, why should I accept everybody's views as being equally valid? I certainly don't think Osama Bin Laden and Kim Jong Il's views are "right".

  • @halfcabdisaster7 Now you're arguing a point that has nothing even to do with any of this. Don't pull that Inception crap on me. Science is real. And yeah, vast majority of people disagree with those listed psychopaths, but that's with good reason. Why do some Christians hate gay people? Did gay people run around and murder without reason? Did gay people become evil dictators and oppress their people? No. There's no freaking reason. At all. Other than "the Bible said so lol"

  • @sloaneVLOGS Fine, no inception. But when it gets down to it your saying that being gay is okay only because you say it is, science can not prove something morally right or wrong. I say that the Bible is right because I have read it and agree with it, the Bible changed me, but there is no way to prove that I am more right than you. As for hating gay people, I never said that I did, I believe I am allowed to disagree with homosexuality and still not hate, I do have gay friends.

  • @halfcabdisaster7 Well congratulations for being open-minded, but you have to see my point here. People choose their own way, I get that. What I'm trying to understand is why someone would choose something that has been basically dis-proven already. I mean, there's so many freaking species of animals on this Earth. You want to tell some old old old man built a boat big enough for all of that? How did he travel the entire world in time? How was he not killed by the vicious animals? Impossible.

  • @sloaneVLOGS There was a criteria for the animals they're defined as clean and unclean so it may well have been animals defined as such and not animals left undefined. I personally think it may have been a more regional than global flood as some others do. I don't think every animal ever was on the ark. As for the rest of your critique, if it had been so easily done it would not have been much of a miracle so of course it doesn't work when God is out of the equation, that's the point.

  • @halfcabdisaster7 But where's the specificity? How can anyone be 100% sure? You can't. That's what I don't understand. Why choose faith when you could have cold hard evidence instead?

  • @sloaneVLOGS Sorry I took a few days to get back to you. Typically what draws someone to Christianty, or any religion I suppose, is not a fact sheet of plausible events vs implausible events but instead a feeling or intuition of a need/ existence of a higher power. There are plenty of hints that point toward God however. But you haven't said what cold hard evidence you are talking about, evolution I suppose?

  • @sloaneVLOGS because maybe it takes someone stronger to have faith than settle for what the world shows you. God Bless

  • @sloaneVLOGS I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm proud to be a Christian. I don't push my beliefs on anyone, just try to help others understand my side. My brother is agnostic. I can't understand why he believes the way he does. He wasn't raised that way. I respect it, though. I respect your beliefs though I don't understand them. Let's just agree to disagree.

  • @MissCat1958 I'm glad that you're proud, but you have to understand. Christianity is EVERYWHERE. No other religion broadcasts itself so blatantly and widely. It feels... almost like an attack. I can't even count on one hand how many Christian billboards I see just driving to school everyday.

  • @sloaneVLOGS How do you think we feel when we see signs promoting Adult stores, strip clubs, etc. We feel the world is being pushed on us. We can't turn on the tv without having to see things we'd rather not be exposed to. Yes, we can turn the tv over and we do. It makes me miss the days when all television was family oriented. We didn't have to check the rating on a program before letting children watch it. There are two sides of a coin. We are just on opposite sides.

  • @MissCat1958 So all non-Christians are sex deviants? Listen to yourself for two seconds. And "way back when" wasn't too wholesome either. Prostitution has been around since the Renaissance era. Sure, it could be that times are changing but it could also just be that information is a good ten times more accessible now. Kids are going to be exposed to that stuff eventually anyway. Best to teach them what you want them to believe early on, right?

  • @ousoonerzrock

Christian boys love blow jobs too!!!

  • @BabtizedRocker96 Won't need luck cus I'm not goin there with you. Thanks anyway though...send me a post card...let me know what it's like...

  • Stryper could pretty much have given birth to Firehouse

  • check it out, if you ignore the fact that they're christian, this becomes a song about love, so quit bitching

  • @DaNorthernLight Yeah, warning others is good. But that person went all religious extremist. Its one thing to try to warn a person but another to start freaking out and getting all bitchy about it. This is why I personally hate religion. Everyone's going a little overboard. Wouldn't it be better if we all believed in whatever we think is right without becoming total assholes? A person has no right to call someone "filthy" and stuff like that if someone has different beliefs. God tells us to LOVE

  • I hate when people say this band isent good lyric wise, what do u expect its a christian metal band. they pretty much can only write their lyrics about christianity and thats it. So yeah

  • Just finished listening to some Slayer. Time to reset my mood.

  • ok all of you religious freaks, chill the F out aight, go press your beliefs somewhere where only you can see it, let us metal heads enjoy our music and leave us alone for christ sake, what did we ever do to you except disturb a few hours of your beauty sleep, if you have any anyways with all those protests you do, preachers won't get to heaven, people who respect god and not use his name every 5 words will, so piss off before he smites all you

  • God is the one who opens people's hearts and eyes to the words of the bible. If someone doesn't believe, they might not be chosen by God.

  • VERY underrated band. i can't stress that VERY enough.

  • We all need to call on God--the Bible says that if we seek Him we will find HIM.

  • @AmericanSurvival101 oh yhea my friend, still got the hair mate, it was an obligation for them nasty trickster,s god i miss the 80,s

  • @AmericanSurvival101 you need to get right with jesus

  • @AmericanSurvival101 WHAT HE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??? DO YOU NOT RECOGNIZE A FILTHY ATHEIST WHEN YOU SEE ONE?? VOTE THIS ASSHOLE DOWN!! WAKE THE HELL UP!! THESE GUYS ARE GREAT!! ROCK ON STRYPER!!! ENJOY HADES BALLSACK LOVER, YOU'LL BE BEGGING FOR A GLASS OF COOL WATER...BUT YOU WILL GETA MOUTHFULL OF ASHES INSTEAD...FREAK!!!

  • @mundrubjet Chill out man! People have a right to believe in what ever they think is right. If Atheists believe that there isn't a God, then they can do that. I'm a Christian, and I know that God says to respect each other. What you are doing is the exact opposite. There are so many good people who don't have the same beliefs as you do. Way to be an asshole and a hypocrite.

  • @TsoiHorses Yeah ok, I went a little overboard...but then you did the exact same thing I did by calling me an asshole and a hypocrite...welcome to the club...holier than thou idiot...

  • @AmericanSurvival101 those were better days, my friend

  • @AmericanSurvival101 I hear masturbation with a meat grinder is erotic; I suggest you try it sometime; in the long run, all of humanity will thank you for sparing them the tragic presence of your insipid spawn slithering and seething amongst them.

  • @AmericanSurvival101

God Damn those girls loves Man Milk all over their faces.

They seemed to crave it if you had even hair past your ears.

    Bring them back now!!!

  • @AmericanSurvival101

That is by far the best comment on you-tube period.

  • @SalazarsHands

    We concur!!!

Long live the ladies that sucked off the boys with the long hair and makeup!!!!

It was like they were on a mission, to fill their little tummies every-night with creamy goo.

  • THE YEAR THAT I WISH TO GO BACK TO WOULD BE 1977 AND GROW UP TO THE YEAR 0F 1989

  • i have to play my to hell with the devil albim now

    this music is timeless

  • Ahh, the days of Christian hair metal from the 80s. seen these dudes many times in their heyday. The only bands I seen more of were KISS & Van Halen (DLR era).

  • :)

  • When the Lord blesses, the devil messes. You can see the contrast on the comments below. Obviously GOD is working through STRYPER because the devil using his vehicles to tear down, or shall I say TRY TO tear down STRYPER. But remember: GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN ME THAN HE THAT'S IN THE WORLD! GOD is in STRYPER and the devil is in the world...So GOD is greater than the devil....!

  • @777Passionflower and god is imaginary. Praise SANTA CLAUS. Praise Him!!

  • @bag04u

Yeah..you won't find it so funny in the future buddy.

  • Listen to FAULTLINE "TODAY" Official Music Video!!! Taking the World By Storm!

    faultlinerva

  • STRYPER---''CALLING ON YOU''

  • @bag04u DUDE GET A LIFE WHY ARE YOU ON HERE IF YOU DONT LIKE IT I THINK YOUR IN THE CLOSET COME ON OUT YOU LITTLE QUEER!!!!!

  • @SiLeNcE328 No, it most certainly was not. Some might call it that, but I totally disagree. Maybe Christian hard rock, that's about as hard as anyone should put it. These clowns are even less metal than Poison.

  • I used to live next door to the sweet brothers i La Mirada. Remember them as Roxx Regime

  • This isn't thrash. Thrash has an edge. This is Hair Metal. Not bad, but just generic Hair Metal.

  • I have to think that 1980s audiences were thinking that the singer was singing about a chick and not the Lord. Much like 1970s record buyers thought Debbie Boone was singing about some random dude who lit up her life.

  • saw this group in the 80's, they were awesome and still are. any one who can put metal with christ is super special and deserves the best things to happen to them.

  • @austinthekingofkings

Can anyone image how many times Stryper had their Pee Pee's sucked on??

Those God fearing girls, are obsessed with sucking Pee Pee's. Especially, Metal Pee Pee's with long hair and lipstick.

  • I am surprised the group BLONDIE didn't sue these guys for music copy write infringement. Listen to her tune DREAMING here on YouTube and you will see.

  • @losky1 a lot of songs sound the same but there arn't getting sued

  • @losky1 I see no similarities at all. Besides neither song in the grand scheme of things has produced a lot. Especially Blondie's song Dreaming which is almost beyond dead at this point. Also a law suit attempted on the behalf of Blondie if in fact there was copy right infringement would likely decimate Blondie with legal fees and is thus too risky. Her career i believe is less lucrative at this point then Stryper and has been for a long time.

  • @losky1 huh?

  • Too all the mormon girls I drilled listening to this shit.

  • This song got me through some of my roughest high school years. Thank You Stryper!!!!!!!

  • man thats a good guitarist

  • I like it so much

  • I Love Stryper so much!!!, they are part of the reason I became a Christian. We are a new Christian Rock Band, following in the footsteps of Stryper, please check us out....We are very special, not the usual Youtube dribble, i promise, quite the opposite actually, please click here............

  • I've always thought he was singing about a girl....Jesus was the furthest thing from my mind.
