Great post. I remember this song from my youth. I liked it then, but hearing it today I realize what a truly beautiful song it is, with clever and moving lyrics. And then to combine all that with this young boy whose voice is such a superb match for the song. I hope the A & R man who found Jimmy Boyd and matched him up with this song got a large bonus.
