when i got my hamster a week ago. they tole me not to get carefresh or cedar. carefresh because since they are so low to the ground they will get dust in their lungs.. cedar. i'm not really sure. i spaced out. the POINT is. she tole me to use aspen and only aspen. she did say that if u had a larger animal. it wouldn't bother them so much.
