I'm actually bidding on one this afternoon....I've went through two brand new speed kings in the past year but the action doesn't touch the older ones, so I traded them in and got the Pearl Eliminator instead. I found a guy that's cleaning and restoring the older speed kings so that's what I'm going to try next. I played the SK for 15 years when I was young and I recall the great action.

Hey Groove, I am resetting up my drumkit (I got my hands on Jason Bonhams limited Edition Yellow Vistalite!!!!!), For Bonhams sound, he used Coded Emperors on the Batterside and Coded AMbassadors on the reso side right? And a felt strip on the reso side of the bbass drum? Thanks man. By the way: I have only been drumming with an intent to get better since like August lol, but your videos have taught alot.
