  • @ImRichYouMad i ate the same keynsian bullshit the OWS are calling for. Now I realise the distinct difference between capitalism and cronie capitalism, we don't have enough capitalism we have too much government and we need to end planned central banking and fiat money.

  • I need to get this. I read Irwin Schiff's version years ago before I really knew who Peter was and before I even really knew much about Irwin. I just thought it looked kind of interesting so I read it. It was one of the main things that originally sparked my interest in economics.

  • @Jingles2423x its great man.

  • well im driven by social presher so im gona just ignor what your saying and act like ever thing is fine

  • @needparalegal you're an idiot. stay in the courtroom. stay out of my wallet.

  • sending is bad ?

The problem is that the money spend is not recycled in USA.

    Tariffs create jobs.

  • @GeneralMcCudden I'm so fucking impressed that you are "majoring" in Economics.

  • < I am wondering why aren´t you presindet of USA already!?

Great book, I started to read it, today. :)

  • @GeneralMcCudden Lol, I am a fucking lawyer and my knowledge of economics probably dwarfs yours. You can repeat all the talking points you want. Like, "Its not a zero sum game." Though that is true, its also not wealth from thin air.

  • I agree Peter that debt and excessive spending based on debt is a big problem. However, it is the consumer middle class that has made the U.S. economy. What we need is more spending based on high salaries - like we had in the late 90s when everyone had plenty of cash to spend. We even had a surplus back then. Corporate cost-cutting is the root of our problem as it drives salaries way down. Corporations must pay more to workers for the economy to improve.

  • This guy has a very limited intellect. Inflation is the only respite for the middle class after the rich have looted the vast majority of created wealth from the system. For the vast majority of us inflation is good.

  • That's trickle-down economics. Inflation is robbery, and it's not honest. Inflation is bad for everyone, it's just the rich that don't get affected by it at first. They get all the benefits of inflation while the poor get nothing but the hard end of the stick.

  • @needparalegal Consider moving to Zimbabwe, but make sure you don't take any dollars with you, as they still have too much purchasing power for your liking. By your logic, counterfeiting is a form of egalitarianism. Inflation is the most destructive form of taxation, specifically for its effect on the poor folks for whom you feign sympathy. It is most cruel to the poor, for whom food and energy costs constitute the majority of their expendable income. It penalizes anyone who wishes to save.

  • LindaMcmahon2010 blocked me from informing constituents that PETER SCHIFF has the Tea Party support.......Maybe everyone should post a comment on her site reminding people of Mr. Schiffs candidacy and merit. Let's inundate any pro McMahon site with the truth. Then she can get her moneys worth out of the staffer(s) she pays to censor information. If you know someone with a brain in Connecticut please get them involved!

  • @weavermama Oh if the "Geniuses" of the Teaparty back him he must be good, LOL.

  • Thanks so much for posting !

  • Hey, read your latest book.. I really liked it. I liked except for the government part. we need to stop saying we need government for collective defense. private insurance companies should provide all the security we need.

  • why do the republicans and democrats pretend they arent both on the same side?

yknow, the side that says 'FUCK AMERICANS

  • @lukkbox The pretense of differing parties keeps the citizenry distracted fighting amongst themselves over trivial social issues. Both parties are bloodsucking parasites on the people. Once you understand this, you begin to gain enlightenment and it all seems very clear and obvious.

  • @pretorious700

yes, i was trying to prick minds ;O)

  • Now look at the price of oil. It is much lower than $86. I do agree that oil will go up because of inflation. However, when the markets are going down oil goes down as well. There is a disconnect. I would not be surprised if oil goes below $68 in the coming weeks.

  • People spend like they will have a job to go to forever. Without saving a portion each pay check it's just another ticking time bomb. Mini recessions occur all the time in families whose breadwinner loses his job but they correct when they learn to become responsible and budget.

The real economic crisis is caused by Government Spending. Bailing out banks for trillions, and untimely healthcare hit for another trillion is negligence if not criminal. It is they who are destroying our economy.

  • Of course, Peter Schiff is right about excess spending and low savings. But that isnt the only problem with the US economy. The US economy is monopolized. I am afraid of what would happen if Schiff-ites dramatically cut spending without dealing with all of the economy's problems.

  • watch?v=KK0Yeuz46UM - how and why communism (at family & community levels) can help us all through rough times.

Not to support any kind of international communism or socialism like the Greece bail out - that is a formula for national collapse with contagion to neighboring (investment, not necessarily geographic) regions.

Bailouts are a contagion for which only a quarantine will allow us to live long enough for a cure.

  • Peter Schiff... you're the best!!!!

  • @dslcobra odds are pretty good Schiff's book, regardless of his level of greed, will contain real facts and none of the propaganda you've been fed in school, so you'll understand how the economy really works, how much better it really can be, and that's your assistance. You see, if you keep doing wrong things in the economy because you were lied to, and if the economy keeps getting sabotaged around you, you can't win. This knowledge should help you survive.

  • @dslcobra. I just bought Schiff's new book. It explains why savings is so crucially important to economic growth. Keynes discounts savings. The book is simple like a picture book that my grandmother or even a US Senator could understand. Our elected officials are hilariously sad. "First I get the fish, then I get power, then I get the women." I'd buy a copy for everyone in DC but the book also explains why none of them would ever read it.

  • Countless bytes of computer data go zipping through cyber-space instantaneously, feeding the diabolical monster that is this global economy. The monster continues to line the over-flowing coffers of our Fascist Overlords, the Demon Pig Banksters and their corrupt puppet Governments. Meanwhile, the monster is devouring the rest of us, by replacing all that is local, personal and human, with all that is global, public and soulless. There is not much time left. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

  • @Narniak69 the data feeds and algorithms can serve us too. The machine is not the monster, only the slaved machines whose purpose is to serve their master - Goldman Sachs for example - by being wired into the markets to get faster information than the rest of us, insider information, and manipulate markets. The rest of the machinery, that which we all use, is a good thing. It can be subverted just as good people can make bad calls if they are lied to. We need vigilance.

  • DOW does down, DOW goes up.

99 magic beans yesterday, 100 magic beans today.

  • peter! i like the chuckle in the beginning, cracked me up

  • If tyranny and oppression come to this land it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. Thomas Jefferson

I dont care who the government is. Let me control the money and I will control the country.

    Mayer Amschel Rothschild

Competition & capitalism] is a sin.

I want to own nothing and control everything. The ability to deal with people is as purchasable a commodity as sugar or coffee and I will pay more for that ability than for any other under the sun.

  • You're correct, that's not my point though. People who have 3 car notes, home mortgage, home equity loan & 4 credit cards can't afford to shop there, but still do!! The only reason people shop the is because they want to keep their "status" in the public eye!! Fourty and fifty years ago people paid cash for things, or they simply didn't get them!! Nowadays, it's all about how much "status" you have, which is what's killing this country!!

  • Can't find that Global Warming suckers comments. Anyhoo, MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING IS COMPLETE NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!!! Those of you still believing in it will bring down our country and all others by being duped into turning over our lives to the UN elite. Not a theory, a FACT!!!! AGENDA 21. I promise you in 5 years it'll be at the tip of everyones tounge. It's the last days. STOP IT NOW> DON'T BELIEVE GLOBAL WARMING YOUR HELPING THEM

  • @SuperGuitarman69 global warming is one of the most absolute facts and serious problems for humanity, PERIOD. Anyone saying it is a scam is eating LSD for breakfast lunch and desert.

  • @ytgv3fc7 It is the biggest scam on the face of the earth. It's tied to AGENDA 21. Those that are aiding these charlatines are either in on it, dumb as a box of rocks, or plain gullible. 95% of CO2 emissions come from plants water etc... only 5% from humans. And CO2 is not a pollutant! This is an agenda that will end in the downfall of America's soverignty. No worries. Us who are the intellectuals will save it inspite of the utter morons out there

  • @SuperGuitarman69 The only one thing you wrote that is true is that CO2 is not a pollutant, It is, however, part of the global warming FACT which is a REAL PROBLEM, part of rising sea levels and acidification of oceans. All the rest of what you wrote is the most LSD-enhanced fiction anyone on this planet has ever heard of. Human INDUSTRY accounts for A GIGANTIC portion of CO2 output due to coal, oil, gasoline, even candles and of course, our farming since pigs and cows have (cont)...

  • @SuperGuitarman69 to emit methane and breathe out CO2, as of course we do. America's already forfeit her sovereignty by violating everyone else's.

  • @ytgv3fc7 5% yes. I say we cut down trees all of them. therefore that will cut out another what? say 34% then we'll be on our way to saving the earth. Hey I've got a great idea. Since you breath and use a car. Stop driving and walk everywhere. And oh put your money where your mouth is and stop breathing too. There you go!!!!

  • @SuperGuitarman69 Cut DOWN trees? You are insane. You grow more trees and cut down less. Stop driving? I did that 4 years ago. No more cars. Put my money where it belongs: assholes like you who want to kill us all for greed, I SHALL STOP THE ASSHOLES FROM BREATHING, as is my MANDATE AND RIGHT TO SURVIVAL and you better learn this fast. IT IS MY RIGHT.

  • @ytgv3fc7 Depopulation? Exactly you leftist fuck!!!!!!!!! AGENDA 21 it's in their creed. Believe me you keep talking like that and if it comes down to those who are defending freedom or those siding with the UN? You will be on the wrong side buddy. Even the one's who've been drinking the Koolaid on the left will be going "hey wait a minute?" And you'll be left holding your pud along with the bankers and depopulation asses in the UN. Be sure to duck!

  • @SuperGuitarman69 Depopulation is REQUIRED. Nature WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN. You can choose to make it happen the painful way by over-multiplying until we have no food and no land for all the people, or you can choose something else. IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. YOU'RE MAKING IT HAPPEN. You are such a retard for not understanding this. There's a reason you can't cram 500 people into a car. You can't cram 20 billion people onto Earth either.

  • @SuperGuitarman69 you sound like a maniac that would smoke a pack a day inside a space capsule and yell at anyone else there they can throw themselves out the air lock. I got news for you. YOU are the one going out the air-lock. Your attitude is viciously evil and will be punished. WILL BE PUNISHED. DON'T FUCKING FORGET IT.

  • @ytgv3fc7 Punished for what? Being on the side of freedom and liberty? You wanting people to die to save the earth? Bro the bible talks about that. The mark of the beast ring any bells? Oh or are you an atheist?

  • @SuperGuitarman69 Atheist. The Bible is a book of poison, led by armies of child molesters.

Holy War is all it is used for, excuses for ethnic cleansing. It is horrifying evil.

And of course the Command to make humans over-populate the earth until we're each living in piles of shit and garbage and have nowhere to live but in each others' asses. Smart plan.

    Not. Bibles are poison.

  • @SuperGuitarman69 your definition of "freedom and liberty" is actually enslavement and butchery, so yes, you will be punished for that. Global warming is a fact and by making it worse you cause butchery for many island peoples and you are directly responsible for their murder. That means your execution is mandatory. Your choice.

  • @ytgv3fc7 Oh my god. You are the absolute worst kind. THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING!!! PERIOD!!!

  • @SuperGuitarman69 funny how all the northern people say otherwise and I mean ALL. Funny how the deserts are spreading around the equatorial regions, all of them. You know, from all that global warming.

You want your head in the sand, you can't make us pay for your stupidity. Be prepared to get your ass kicked by all of humanity for making our lives harder.

  • @ytgv3fc7 Deserts have been around for millions of years. Quit trying to justify Global Warming it's complete nonsense. There are way too many people that know this now. Finally. Look at youtube. There are alot more people against it than for it. I notice even in posts. Oh and by the way? I'm from the south. And travel all around the world. I've been to 23 different countries and been in every state numorous times. It's what I do for a living. There is no GW and no over population

  • great! i am getting this book and I am recommending it to babis and emily

  • Basically many countries worldwide are in deep trouble. Perhaps those responsible for this gloabal problem have a bigger picture in mind like a global government or global financial control. If the currencies are more or less balanced compared to eachother then it's easier to introduce a new system. Create a problem, blame others and offer your solution.

  • Peter, did I ever tell you your my hero.

  • Peter, I suggested you as a guest on The Daily Show forums to both promote your new book and your Senate run. I enjoyed the las time you were on. Hopefully they want you back.

  • I love how this guy blames peoples' headstrong spending as the cause of debt. The debt is lack of productivity in physical, exportable good. It's the lack of investment in the productive powers of labor and in technological growth. That is the source of the debt, caused directly by the fact that we DON'T have a real national credit institute protecting the general populace.

Hey peter, if we all tighten our belts, what's that do for our consumer economy? How many businesses go down?

  • @phospholipasec on this I think I'd side with Schiff: with real capital savings the belt-tightening would be followed by much stronger businesses, small businesses, for which NONE of us are foolish debt-consumers, but most of us can be productive and TRADE. I make shirts and circuit-boards, you milk cows and fix engines, etc., and we trade skill for skill, valued asset for valued asset. This consumerist economy is POISON.

  • Maybe the consumers spending aren't the ones with a lot of debt. Ever think of that?

  • @baigandine no, I work for a major cell carrier. They're the ones in debt. Everything is on credit.

  • Hey Schiff, I tell people all the time, you and I agree, GDP doesn't mean anything!! And the people look at me like i'm nuts!! Then I point out the fact they paid $5 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks, and then they really get angry!!!

  • @freedom4kaz damn right! Proves that people who can't understand value for trade (work = dollars, dollars = decent coffee not overpriced watered down coffee). I buy starbucks in bulk & use a french press: awesome flavour, costs me 30 to 50 cents a cup when you consider the kettle heating energy usage + bulk coffee price. I will NEVER buy a second actual cup of coffee made BY them in their store.

  • @freedom4kaz Starbucks coffee isn't expensive because of inflation.

  • @baigandine no but the point is that a fool who doesn't understand the value of something will never understand even when broke and in debt that over-pricing is something not to accept - not inflation, not gouging, not superficial status symbols, nothing.

  • The GDP doesn't mean ANYTHING! measurements measure measuring means.

  • @kermitcintronsucks And your point is what?? GDP doesn't mean anything!!

  • GDP doesn't mean anything. Measurements measure measuring means. I read that in a book and it has stuck ever since. The GDP is worthless and already other countries around the world are looking at alternatives in gauging economic "Health" as I call it.

  • @kermitcintronsucks Gotcha, I wasn't sure if you were agreeing or disagreeing.

  • @kermitcintronsucks

Well, the GDP measure does indeed measure something; it measures the total monetary value of all final goods and services produced within an economy for a certain period of time. Unfortunately, and you've already mentioned this, this measure doesn't really tell us anything, and any attempt to measure the "real value" of total output is entirely superfluous (because it's impossible; inflation is not a uniform rate that can be measured).

  • @freedom4kaz

Are you saying that YOU spend $5 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks?

I pay $1.80 !! (and I get a FREE drink from them from time to time, via a certificate in the mail, and I get a FREE drink when I buy a pound of coffee to take home)

    $5.00?!!

Either someone is real rich, real stupid, or, both.

  • Comment removed

  • @energyfinance What I'm saying is that people who are unemployed, over their heads in debt or have filled for bankruptcy shouldn't go there, but they do!! No, I don't go there, never did. Why, because it's totally asinine to go ANYWHERE & pay $5 for a cup of coffee. The truth of the matter is ego. Yep ego!! Most people go to Starbucks to be "SEEN". It all about attention. Seriously, who in their right mind would pay $5 for 24 oz. of coffee?? Do you know how much that is a gallon?? MY LORD!!

  • damn, looks like we're really fucked =/

  • @a4finger you got that right!! I wonder what Peter has to say about the market super-reversal and instant buy-back guarantee from the Plunge Protection Team!

  • Peter, have u heard of a documentary called "money as debt", if so, isnt it true that debt and consumer spending are the only ways to sustain a fractional reserve monetary system, and if you agree, why dont you address this?

  • @rockman22

debt is a way to sustain an economy? that's how we got into this mess.

consumer spending is what fuels an economy, but it has to be within reason. credit cards are just debt machines that you can pay off at a later date at criminal interest rates.

savings, investing, and production are the keys to a sustainable economy.

  • Just throwing this out there. If you make 35k a year, borrow 20k, and live like you earn 50k per year on that one loan.. 10 years later you make 55 k per year. wasn't the quality of life improved and wasn't it worth it, since the loan is now easily paid off?

  • @nVei06 I think you might have miscalculated, or assumed a particular rate. 10 years later at a given interest rate, how long was the pay-off period, because for some people it would fail entirely, depending on the payment schedule and interest rate(s) (changes?) at play.

  • You've been talking a lot of trash but I haven't seen any actual arguments advanced in about the last ten comments! So I'm going to side with the chap who says you're some flamebaiter and tell you to fuck off. If you really are some one investing by arbitrage then you should see where the dollar's going, hm, does printing more dollars reduce its value, that's amazing, does this tell us that sound money is that which reflects receipt of and for production, or that QE will grow the economy, lol

  • You are so right Peter!!! Much luck to you in Congressional Elections!!!

  • Peter, we need you.

  • Help us make marijuana/hemp a legal industry, generating Billions of dollars in taxes paid and revenue. Then we'll take a closer look at your wealth strategy.

    Uzz

  • @marijuananewschannel if hemp was legal we can make cheaper oils plastics, paper, cloth, food. but dankie buds does not make money since it is easy to grow. if you can't figure that out, well come on.

  • @nVei06 Doesn't make money, are you tripping man!? Mj IS THE NUMBER ONE CASH CROP IN CALIFORNIA! DO YOU THINK THE DRUG CARTELS ARE INVOLVED BECAUSE THEIR BORED?! Again what we need in the US are legal paying jobs not the illegal paying jobs that illegal mj generates.

  • @marijuananewschannel you idiot. if it was legal it would be 3$ a pound.

  • @nVei06 if it was legal then everyone could reduce their cost of living by making everything we need out of it, including using the left-overs for bio-fuels. Who's the idiot?

  • @ytgv3fc7 i already mentioned that. you are an idiot. biased prejudice dumb and arrogant.

  • @nVei06 you're a fuck-wit, seriously. You were arguing the other way, the comments are clear. The PROFITS to rake in will be good for everyone. Your very concept that it wouldn't make money, being legal, is like eating LSD sandwiches every day and then eating razors all night and calling it cotton-candy.

    Get off the drugs pal.

  • @ytgv3fc7 no kid, you are just retarded. you can no comprehend reality, andyou are too much of a shit head to be honest or care to be. you should be beaten and killed.

  • @nVei06 I'll be doing all the beating and killing, you can keep dreaming little boy.

I'm armed to the teeth and about 200 IQ points higher than you. You are only dreaming if you think it will ever happen. It's people like me that make real change in the world. It's people like you that whine and cry and beg for help. Go fuck yourself dirt bag. May your bullet in the face be fragmented.

  • @ytgv3fc7 i will drop a large object on your dwelling. you will be killed with 2 other worthless shit things you live with. see.

  • @nVei06 you live west? i will remove the ground from under you and you will be dead.

  • @nVei06 I don't see how you'll find the time between those gigantic LSD sandwiches you have for every meal.

  • @ytgv3fc7 people need to shoot you

  • @nVei06 Well that's too bad, I've got too many thermite grenades which are armor piercing for that to ever happen, night vision and I can make my own automated one-shot guns that are fired by batteries. Nice and silent until it's too late. Keep dreaming.

So do you prefer bacon or sprinkles with your LSD sammiches?

  • It's so simple even congressmen will be able to figure it out :-)

  • No, I'm white but you're obviously a dickhead whatever your ethnicity may be. Since you SAY you're a banker (and that may be so if you live in Hong Kong and that's not surprising since even thick shits like you in the financial industry must realise that continuous collapse from inflation driving investment will lead the US govt to socialise of investment and even more punishment of the paternalised banking sector) you should be afraid of no next bailout in the pork barrel. Mercantilism fails.

  • Peter your awesome!! Keep up the good work!!

  • I want the old republic back!

  • Peter has been wrong on the Dollar, US stocks and high inflation!

  • @truthislibertyus trust wait buddy...just wait.....then say something that ignorant

  • @truthislibertyus and a lot more.

  • @lizardgizard2002 I honestly for the life of me can't understand how someone could be left. I believe it's because it's simple. You don't have to think and everything sounds like you actually care about people and want to give them money. There is no depth in the belief system and most that do not understand economics and politics listen in a passive nature and say yeah that sounds good and that's the extent of it. I mean baffled truely baffled

  • @SuperGuitarman69 That is the problem, you can't understand. Alittle education would help. Baffled too, lol. I am sure education would help there too. What does it mean when a crazy rightwinger lumps all left leaning people together. Ignorance perhaps. By the way has anyone ever heard of you in Nashville? Probably not. Oh well.

  • @lizardgizard2002 First off yeah even you have. And I have 2 degrees. I travel all over the country and the world. And I will say this, the people in the south and midwest are the most intelligent in this country. Belittling them is not how you get them to listen to your non sense. Nintendomanwill is highly intelligent. Who knows where he's from but him and I agree 100%. You can't throw arbitrary comments at those who disagree with you call them unintelligent. You look foolish

  • @SuperGuitarman69 Firstly Ninetenduhman likes reading his own words. Noone else does. I know I don't. Anyone can read the encyclopedia and regurgitate useless facts. You have 2 degrees. End of Joke. Laugh here! How many times do I have to say I'm not debating and not asking anyone to change. That's your job lol.

  • @lizardgizard2002 Again with the name calling. Unbelievable. Have a nice life

  • That's true.. that's what GW Bush encouraged after 911 did lead to the crazy debt fuelled expansion.

  • Woah, fuck you racist. People like you should be deplored and shunned. So hang on, you're:

    1. a racist

    2. a banker who thinks we should invest in monetised gluts thereby showing literally ZERO comprehension of business cycle theory

    3. a profiteer from the business cycle and the central bank's pathetic inflationary response (via arbitrage?), thereby reducing your use to society and your OWN profits despite your incomparable self-love that denies you knowledge of the inferiority of Mercantilism

  • Well I was going to respond with some comments from people who've challenged bizarre leftists like you (don't worry, if you get bailed out that government will be so socialist as to tax it all away so basically you'll have to leave the USA) but I really don't see the point in that; one's success in making money (and btw, nominal profits mean nothing if that investment is in inflation where the clearing will destroy leveragers) DOES NOT DICTATE ONE'S THEORETICAL ECONOMIC ACUMEN.

    Obviously.

  • @Nintendomanwill You talking to this arbitrage character? LOL. He thinks he's a banker or something. Knows nothing about it. It really is useless to debate the left. They resort to name calling because after all that's all they can do. Cheap and quick. No substance just garbage. I think he is Canadian altho I can't get him to admit it. Canada really is so far off the deep end they try to debate against free people and come off like fools all the time.

  • @SuperGuitarman69 I'm in Canada and we're far from off the deep end. We have the most riches you'll see as a nation because we're less wasteful and there's less people to use it all.

We're more free than Americans are, that's for sure.

  • LOL, you have no economics. Seriously. I challenge you to a debate regarding ANY issue you like, central banking and its historical and theoretical role, time preference theory vs liquidity preference (an ad-hoc argument designed to advocate socialisation, non-profitisation of investment but you're too much of a sheep to see that), the current subprime lending to the US government induced by inflation and its creation of underproduction-I'm no economist but you're deluded so I'll fucking end you

  • @arbitrage What country are you from?

  • @arbitrage

Oh I get it, it's the Soros syndrome, you profit by the State's actions and you think that you've broken the capitalist order and any positive sum game-anticapitalism makes you feel cleverer, wow, what an insane fool you are, you think that you profit by anything than the productivity of those in the division of labour so you are an egomaniac of the highest order. Let me guess, morality doesn't work because it's unproductive? That's the Christian strawman morality. Not the truth.

  • Ignore financial journals and study economics and I'm interested, if not, then you're just a waste of my time. Now, I despise anything but complete harmony of interests. But do you know what? That guy talking about war-do you realise that the financial community incites this? You don't co-operate in the division of labour. You support inflation so you can print money and invest there to profit. This causes your demise in business cycles but then you ask for bailouts and 'reflation!' GO TO HELL!

  • US has surpassed the point of no return in excessive spending.. everybody knows that. the 'solution' brought about by Mr Schiff will also be disruptive and painful to USA, most likely would also bring riots across America. Either QE or massive cuts, nobody knows absolutely which "solution" settle things faster or less disruptive/painful

  • Peter your new book is SIMPLY awesome! I will pass this on to family and friends. Maybe I'll even send one to both of my Senators.

  • "Simple enough even for a Congressman." LOL....don't count on it Peter.

  • And the people who named Schiff that will very soon realise that they don't know the first thing about economics. You can't appeal to authority in economics because no authorities understand the business cycle, bankers try and make profits from investing in gluts caused by inflation like we're still in the fucking 18th century, and when those markets clear they sound the 'reflation' Keynesian alarm bells to get bailed out and make a new glut. Schiff KNOWS not to invest in bubbles made by inflat.

  • @arbitrage The government does not create wealth. People do. The government has nothing. By investment and people pursuing their own individual goals. People instinctively want to improve their own human condition, Therefore, they always try to do things that would improve THEIR individual lives. Which creates wealth. Census workers and road construction is not wealth it's a bandaid. Not bad for a guitarist huh?

  • @arbitrage So the fact he called the mortgage crisis before anyone? No I'm not Bono. He isn't any good. And you're a banker? Really? And what country are you from? I do not know any bankers blogging on youtube for fun. I have a minor in economics and I do my own study. In the free market it's a guessing game with stocks overall. That's the beauty in it. And NO Obama is not using stimulous money wisely. Payoffs and temporary jobs doesnt stimulate anything

  • I want to send copies to congress

  • Listen, really listen to what he tells you. And if you don't understand the connections, try to find out more to understand it! It is absolutely necessary, that you can see the web that's been created around you - the matrix! The final question is: Can there be a real life within the false?

  • @a49614 The internet is all about reading between the lines and sorting through the garbage super sewage highway to get to the reality.

  • @luc59457 Yeah, a better alternative to Pete is to watch March Faber, author of gloom, doom, and boom report. Often on Bloomberg tv and website for free. His simple premise central banks print extra money non-stop and systematically under report it, to the maxium extent they can get away with it.

  • @borisbmx Makes sense, curious, why is your channel listed as unavailable?

  • @arbitrage You know nothing about me or my education. Much less what or who I am in the music industry. I'm simply pointing out the obvious to you. Obama or Peter Schiff? hmmm. Conclusion is that Schiff is the answer. Obama is doing irreversable damage. And you'll let him take this entire country to the brink with a smile on your face with utter cluelessness. Be careful getting into deep water my friend when you don't know how to swim

  • That's one way of saying it to the arsehole! Let him stick to his arbitrage when either the dollar collapses or the American government has to file for bankruptcy and we'll see how well he does! It's funny because they think that 'fiscal stimulus' is designed to improve their wealth and control but all it will do is socialise investment until Obama levies New Deal level taxes on all earnings. Bailouts for loans for the 'little guy' don't work when banks have no assets but those in cleared gluts!

  • @arbitrage Sorry my friend. I know a Koolaid drinker when I see one. You thoughts and beliefs have been bought and paid for by the left via media, tv shows, and possibly college professors. You have no clue of what you really believe or what that means. Peter Schiff is one of the most brilliant economists we have in this country. He is right 100% of the time. When he speaks? I listen. Even if it's difficult to hear. Obama is your hero.

  • @SuperGuitarman69 And we know a tea bagger when we see one.

  • @lizardgizard2002 Teabagger? Hmmm? Wow. That really is clever. Nope, sorry to inform you I'm not a "Teabagger". I will say this, that derrogatory term coined for the people out there protesting for lower central government and more independence isn't working and shows that you have no credible thoughts. Just reciting the phrase you heard from the other children you play with in the sandbox.

  • @SuperGuitarman69 Nope, sorry to inform you that you are a "teabagger" and you are all destined for a big disappointment. The right is being destroyed from within particularily by both the Sara Palin group and the Ron Paul (Schiff) faction of the teabagger movement. The result of this along with passage of the health care bill will result in a left leaning government in power for a minimum of 20 years.

  • @lizardgizard2002 You really just don't get it. If you want to debate your side of issues I'll slay you. Obama has officially done the left in. My neighbor, life long Democrat for 52 years said he doesn't know what has happened to the Democratic party. The healthcare bill and coverage of the Tea Parties caused him to switch. These are people who have never been "polled". I've been waiting for someone like Obama to come along. He has shown what happens when left whackos have control. .

  • @SuperGuitarman69 I have no interest in debating a teabagger particularily one worshiping Shifty. Have you sent him your money yet for his campaign. lol. He certainly has you bamboozled. Oh, your old neighbor switched, well then what you are saying must be true. LOL. You are so paranoid and delusional what is gonna happen to you when Shifty takes all that right wing monyy and fails in his bid and when Ron Paul and Sarah Palin fail miserably (again).

  • @lizardgizard2002 See I 've been noticing that alot of the left is having to find themselves debating on here finding out they don't really understand issues. they resort to name calling. ie.. shifty, teabaggers etc... that is plain and simply utter lack of understanding anything. Using phrases like that lizardgizard makes you look foolish and with zero credibility. I mean seriously do you think belittling the tea parties or schiff is a "smart" way to win over people?

  • @SuperGuitarman69 Debating? Who is debating? Who is trying to win over anyone?. You hillbilly southerners are not going to give up your tea party ideas any more then you are going to give up your gun in your right hand and your bible in the left. I view these right wing comments and blind devotion to people like Shifty and Palin to be comedic and I love comedy. Most of you love to spout nonsence that is antiquated and has no use in today's world.

  • @lizardgizard2002 Wow. You have zero original thoughts. You get on sites like this and try to belittle southerners? Don't make me laugh. More than likely you're sitting in a one bedroom apartment in an inner city somewhere complaining that we want to take your entitlements away. Your comments are racist and have no merit. You have no views other than what the left tells you to say ie.. MSNBC John Stewart etc... ridiculous

  • @SuperGuitarman69 If I belittled southerners, I appologize. I was really just intending to belittle you. Gosh you are getting upset. What is MSNBC? I do watch Fox on occasion and LAUGGGGGGGH. You have strayed from the topic in your rage. I stated that because of the passage of health care and resolution of economic problems, unnecessary wars, etc the left will be in power for 20 years or more. Too Bad. So Sad.

  • @lizardgizard2002 They will be out of power in less than 4 years. No question about it

  • @lizardgizard2002

" Most of you love to spout nonsence that is antiquated and has no use in today's world"

Such as? I have read 4 or 5 of your posts to SuperGuitarman and you essentially say nothing.

  • @jtravis282 You noticed.

  • Also, increased production helps reduce the cost of products. Also, consuming is not the only ingredient to prosperity, think broadly.

  • I recall Peter mentioning that as mining co's start earning more money that the various government would pursue this added income by these companies in order to confiscate it to help aid their own malfunctioning tax base/ponzi-schemes.

Welcome to another excellent fundy call by Peter.

Search yahoo/Associated Press for "Australia looks at 40 percent tax on mining profit"

I ain't no bag-licker, I just note when a guy seems to be correct over and over again on a sustained basis.

  • just ordered a copy of the new book from amazon!

  • Yeah, our economy must be growing SO FAST that it destroyed a large video game store chain that I used to work at. All the vacant stores and empty office space MUST be a sign that the economy is on the upswing...I mean, why would the media and the politicians lie to-...oooooooh.

  • Possible reasons why there is economic growth well, people are stocking up on food, water and other misc items. Prices just in my town have increased incredibly over the last few months. I think people know that were not out of the woods so there hoarding food. Once the feds start jacking up interest rates and if they pass this vat tax or some other tax hoarding food and water will be our only option to buy things while there still cheap. All roads financially lead to inflation.

  • Greek just got bailed out today. What does this do to the us dollar and gold, silver?

  • Well this is obviously just maintaining an economy built around public-sector debt from coerced, insolvent industry in Greece and it's pushing up the sovereign debt of Eurozone countries so I suppose that the Euro is likely to suffer somewhat but in terms of buying gold-sod it as an investment, media of exchange is required! The $ has been inflated just to create a glut in government bonds to finance the US State, so get ready for another banking crash and more debt-monetisation from the Fed.

  • @Nintendomanwill Mises is flat out a genius. Austrian Economics track record is outstanding.Keynesian? Well deplorable to say the least.

  • I've never met a musician who knew economics (I mean real economics) probably because so few people today understand the crucial importance of the historical and theoretical role of central banking and fiduciary money in creating debt, underproduction and politicisation of (unsustainable and driven by inflation) investment. These bankers think they're in the loop, well they've got ANOTHER rude awakening coming as they fall for the Fed's machinations to gain more subprime investment in govt debt.

  • @Nintendomanwill You'd be surprised. Music is largely mathematical. And most tend to think we are left. Nothing could be further from the truth. Or possibly, that we aren't educated. My actual degree was in comp sci with a minor in economics.

  • @SuperGuitarman69

No, I know musicians can be educated. But so many of my friends play instruments and not a single one of them knows the first thing about economics-even the ones who are formally educated in it and that includes one getting Firsts in all his university essays for his degree in economics. I suppose I always find people who understand economics surprising due to their rarity. Anyway, regarding 'arbitrage', do you think he's for real? The name's authentic but the spiel aint!

  • @Nintendomanwill I believe he is Canadian. I listen to banter from alot of Canadians that know nothing about American free markets. How could they? But they get on youtube and try to belittle those of us that are free market idealists. I usually can fugure them out after a few blogs. Usually I try to work in how much the Canadian healthcare system is destroying Canada and they come back swinging lol.

  • @Nintendomanwill It's not only that I had it school but I still study on my own for self interest. I really believe in Austrian economics. I'm a huge fan of Milton Friedman and I have all of his books and researched almost everything he has online. I do play guitar for a living in Nashville, but economics is a big hobby of mine. I like to be informed and have valid opinions. Not recite what I read or hear

  • Austrian economics seems to me the only actual school of thought in economics that is based on systematic reasoning and a sound epistemological basis, ie praxeology. Mathematical economics seems positivist and prone to wasting the time of those minds which should be focused on comprehending the true lessons of economics regarding the role of volition/purpose in human action, on fruitless mathematical pursuits of truths that economics can NOT provide. And underconsumptionists aren't economists.

  • @Nintendomanwill Agreed

  • @Nintendomanwill Do me a favor and go to Glen Beck and the tea party at the alamo. You'd do a better job than me explaining the consumption tax than I would. Direct it at southernfriedhoney

  • Peter, I ordered your book yesterday and donated to your campaign today... Freedom 4ever!

  • My advise to everyone is to make difficult decisions now before you are forced to.

  • @2uberu Absolutely!

  • He just talke about a massive debt crisis schelduled to hit the US (with which I totally agree) and how the money will be essentially worthless sooner than the average American believes. What does Peter Schiff do after that? Plug his new book! Peter i respect the hell out of you and think you are perhaps the smartest economic forecaster in god knows how long but dude seriously, bad time to plug a book regradless of the subject matter.

  • Peter Schiff message.. blah- blah- blah - lie- lie- lie - zero- zero -zero- minus-minus- minus- pour as much garbage in your ear as possible because u r white and this is the anti-white anti-constitional zionist agenda to take over america via lending, media, government, educution.. this is your typical asiatic ashkenazi pattern..
