Some great propaganda footage! This footage mainly comes from a Ufa film "Alert at the Pass" which was shot in color. The Gebirgsjäger seen in the film are from Hochgebirgskompanie Groth which was an ad hoc unit with mountaineers from the 1st and 4th Gebirgsdivisions. They were given eagle feathers to wear in their caps as a unit emblem. These guys were fighting up at altitudes of 15,000 and 16,000 feet around Mount Elbrus in the Caucasus mountains.

maybe you missunderstood me. i did ask why this footage is in black and white, since there are some scenes in this movies showing here, which looks excactly the same in the colorvideo, Heeresbergfuhrer mentioned. The color footage dosen't look recolored. So i wondered. But i commented right to Heeresbergfuhrer, don't know why it did not appeared right under Heeresbergfuhrer comment.

It was plenty of that yes..

They werent really news, they were often acts. Like some interviews and stuff. U can clearly see acting. And ofcourse.. When u se enemy troops? They really arent enemy troops, but a setup for a good news shot, that young germans back home would like. And join the war to expiriance that.

Caucasus: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Chechenia,Dagestan and small provinces of Russian federation. Caucasus was the centre of the origination of European tribes. Vikings and Saxons were originated from Azerbaijan. The main goal for Germans in eastern Europe was to capture oilfields of Apsheron peninsula, where the city Baku is located. I believe there is also a video where you can see where Hitler celebrates his birthday with a cake made of Caucasus oilfields of Baku. Indeed Germans reached Elbrus!
