This brings back memories. I went to school with the original incarnation. They were the best on campus band, although other local bands were arguably better; Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh and Buffalo Tom.
wow. this live recording has an early Fugazi-ish vibe to it. and Smith's voice is very unlike the familiar Smith angel voice. I like both, personally. hooray for youtube!
big fan of Elliott's music as well and i love this. Regarding the bass plaver...I think he's awesome! he's cool enough to be playing in a band with Elliott.
Even as someone familiar with Heatmiser, it's hard for me to believe that this Elliott singing. It's just such a different style from his own songs. Mind you, I love it.
They're so bouncy!

If only Heatmiser had toured with Tool. That would have been something...

@janderkin Please don't mention Heatmiser and Tool ever again.

One of my all time favorite songs/albums. It looks like they're playing at a poorly attended Easter brunch or something.

dead air is the greatest grunge album

I wouldn't say "grunge" exactly fits.
More Post-Hardcore punk. The guy that mentioned Fugazi hit the nail on the head.

@MaekTrollPoast I would list them as both, personally.

Yeah I had the same problem: I thought maybe Joe Strummer from The Clash had gatecrashed.
All the the same, can you imagine these guys playing at your wedding, awesome.

This should be tagged with Brandt Peterson, not Sam Coomes. You know, sort of like how it is in the video.
