Big words aside then,
I don't have the experience to disagree with you, not in relation to other countries, but I am still skeptical.
There are mechanisms in place to deal with problems, but the reason they would be ineffectual is because of due process and coordinated deceit within the force.
As such, unless we wish to cripple the police' ability to do the job, knowledge of this system is a lone civilian's savior.
Right now I see griping about legitimate duties, not true corruption.

Assigning hatred, mistrust and persecution to a group in a prejudiced fashion is never a good policy. Be more upset about the fact that those were people doing bad things rather than those were COPS doing bad things. There is a place for vigilance & zealous protection of oneself or one's principles, and that very well may be here, but it is asinine to dismiss the job police play in our society, and such beliefs held by those here indicate less noble causes being fought for- Pride. Envy. Wrath.

i wish people did this every time cops get out of line. yes cops have authority but if they step out of line and a bunch of people disagree with it then no amount of authority will help fuckers like this. i am an American and i don't think all cops are there to help, in fact a good majority are a-holes which makes me feel sorry for the ones who are actually doing their job and protecting people.

American:Herp, the guy was breaking the law, police were restraining him, he was resisting. Do you know what the police go though, how do you know the guy didn't have a gun. Without the police, people would break into your house and kill you.

Reality:The police were assaulting the guy. They took a job as a cop because they like being in control of people and enjoy authority and knowing they prety much can't get in trouble. They enjoy undeserved respect for writing tickets.

My position on American defending police actions come from no where but what Americans tell me and what I observe. What I hear is the typical, "They're just doing there job." or, "Without them then (insert apocalyptic statement)". Just saying, if I go around asking people, "Do you hate the cops?" I'm not going to get a, "Yes" reply from most people.

@arminask IM not saying what they did was correct but it isn't simply about some mean cop beating some one.there is a lot more to it. really the guy was interrupting the match so the police's focus is getting him off the field as quickly as possible so when the guy resists them cuffing him, one of the officers increases the use of force. i can understand his thought process. i wouldn't have done it but. if i were the cop i would have dragged him off the field and let him loose....
