wow, i love khalil, know his entire album and am an avid r&b listener/singer, Anybody have mp3 upload of this song? I would love to burn it and play it in my car. :)
do you know wich part in his song I'm talking about? if yes you might have recognized the similarities. if you don't you should listen carefully. You are not the one who have music background.
As i have mentioned before, Khalil might do it on purpose to pay a tribute to his favourite artists by using some melodies of these artists in his songs. and he did it several times already, you can recognize it if you listen to his music carefully.
I am also a fan of khalil's works. but i'm no fanboy
just because it is similar doesn't mean he copied im its like Pachabel's cannon, that is in sooooo many songs nowerdays, not they copied it, it just happens to have part of it.
so many songs have been written already..so its pretti hard to write something that is totally original...or is not similar to another song...just what i think...
very sorry,i am not stupid,i did obtain a Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music's music theory certificate, and i can tell you that Khalil's song is not similar to Joe's song. Some notes are the same in both songs, but are not in the same place... i mean, HEY! this world is big, and music notes are always in a certain range, music existed for many thousand of years, it's extremely hard to write a totally original song. but still, i dont see a close similarity between khalil's & joe's song
I think you are a fanboy or one of the groupies. you should learn to read. i said, 2 bars of the chorus is from Joe's song but not the entire song. do you know what chorus and bars are?
Quote from Joe's song: Everytime i hold you near, you always say the words I love to hear.
seriously...the first 2 lines of the choruses sound quite similar. In So-Fa names they're both "me re do ti la, so la mi re. Re do ti la so, mi so re do" or something similar. But i'm not making a fuzz of it at all dont get me wrong
great song of expression of love...simple and wonderful~ love and peace~
