Very nice! You're definitely carving out a style all your own while making awesome Mega Man tunes. This definitely makes me pine for a Strider 2 style MMX game on the 3DS or something.
I think one of the high points of your composing style is the fact that you can link together so many distinct melodies into one song, and still have it -feel- like one song. What I'm referring to are the transitions at around 0:37, 0:44, and 0:50. I definitely need more practice with that kind of unification, because it can mean the difference between something repetitive and something amazing.
Very nice. I enjoy this one as both a Mega Man theme, and an actual song. Not many songs I can say that about. It kind of sounds like a Dynasty Warriors theme, I think, and when I think about it, it actually suits it.
However, despite my enjoyment, I shall give my points that would make it better in my opinion.
1. The bass drum is a little too quiet, and it kinda makes the percussion too subtle.
2. It's a bit too slow. I sped it up ten percent and it made it that bit better.
Have you done any concept artwork or had people do up artwork for you? Much of my work is in Adobe Illustrator and I'd love to sit down and do up a few of these mavericks. You always do great works and they deserve more attention than the typical, "Hey, can I use this in my fan game?!?"
@ruckmanproduction : Thank you for the compliment! I haven't done any concept artwork for these mavericks, but I'm not much of an artist and I don't draw very often. It would be fantastic to see your take on them, though. I'm flattered you even brought it up--I never expected people to want to do these kinds of things in the first place. :^)
Aww man this would AMAZING in the MMX3 samples! O well despite that it still sounds AMAZING. I cant spell AMAZING without capping if you were wondering...
There's just one complaint I have with this song...If Granitoid Basilisk is made of stone, how can he possibly even attempt to run across water?
Joking aside, I like this one a bit more than your last X song, and even though I'm a nut for the SNES samples, the ones you used here fit rather well.
While I think the song is awesome. I think that the melody kinda gets lost because the main melody's samples are not "clear" enough. So you kinda lose them when other samples are playing at the same time. The MP3 is definitely better than the YT video though. I love the keyboard part. (I love when keyboard is used in general ^_^
Oh and by the way, I liked it when the X songs went 32 bits with CD quality music and samples. So you can definitely count me in if you are going that way. ( :
@MegaPhilX : Yep, I was having a bit of trouble making the notes sound clear since everything was getting drowned out. The mp3 is definitely much cleaner than the YT video, though. Thanks for dropping a comment, Phil!
This is a really good one, heh yet another fav on my list. I don't think it much matters. Sounds like whatever you're using now is deving pretty well with things. I'd keep with this for a while, seems to be really coming together.
More like... Giantoid Baiisilisk!

I love this theme. Reminds me of Marvel vs Capcom or Xmen vs Street Fighter!!! (Enters Shogun Man...and Viral Raptor...)

There you go. Yeah, this does remind me of Mega Man X boss music, based on the boss themes from the series. You have a real knack for this.

@Kevvviiinnn how funny, I was thinking the same thing the other day. Would you mind if I took a stab at it?

@neogalahad : I wouldn't mind at all! I'd be honored to see the mavericks made into drawings.

@Kevvviiinnn I drew those Sailor Moon based Mavericks since last year. but, I don't notice that these Maverick names can't be right.

I think it might be a little too slow for a boss level, but I can see this being used as ending credits music.

Not one of your more original songs. I'm okay with the instruments and they sound really good sometimes, but I dunno, just not spectacular.
Still, really well made.

Very nice, feels a lot more MMX-like than Flashfire Minotaur's theme. Not that it was bad by any means of course, it's just as awesome as this one.

@IshidaTheQuincy : I think that rock organ had a lot to do with the Final Fantasy-esque sound Flashfire had, heh.

I prefer the ones you use, because the SNES electric guitar sample is very noticeably flat...

Those brass chord things remind me some of the later Pokemon game's music. No idea why.
It's not quite as good as your previous X piece, but it's nowhere near bad.

While I do miss the SNES synths, the different sound makes me think of a new MMX game all together! It's still very good.
