They are not the same from one Catholic funeral to another. The Traditional Funeral has the REQUIEM MASS for the deceased which receives much more graces and Dignity than to the modern way they do in many of the new mass churches. The Pope wants the tradiitonal Latin Mass in ALL churches because of the ongoing abuse in the made-up modern masses. Attend a Traditional Latin Mass! You will LOve it!

It's "Prie-Dieu" not "praydu" and it is not ALWAYS used.
And this is talking about North American Catholic funerals. Catholic requiem mass varies from country to country, according to the "customonial" in the locality. For instance, in some countries, the priest also goes to the cemetery with his servers to carry the processional cross and tapers. a pall may or may not be used, the casket may or may not be opened at the Mass, etc.
Is this an ad for this guy? I am a catholic, and this sounds like a generic pitch from someone trying to sell me something. Any chance there are similar videos for Jewish, Protestant, Baptist....funerals?
I miss terribly she was my rock and my guide in life and whom I miss terribly she left Ireland at the of 18 and never returned to Ireland which she hardly spoke of but the bit we did know she was a fluent Gallic speaker and she was a laugh an half she was the core person in our family that kept the family together now she's passed on we have all gone our separate ways which saddens me a lot but its life we have to move with the times I don't to forget but just move with things. I love my nan
I am sorry to hear of your loss. My Mother and Father's family came to the USA in the 1920's - Mom's side from Ireland and Dad's from Ireland and Scotland. As a child I remember several favorites Aunt's and Uncle's that came from Ireland. My Maternal Grandfather was from County Sligo - He died when I was 13, but he was a great source of strength and inspiration as were many of the old timers from Erie.
for social security funerals and one family were still waiting to bury their father four mths after he had died and he was waiting still even around the time of my nans death I cannot imagine the pain of that family to wait cremate their loved one due the backlog of paperwork and I suppose the constant shut down of computers all the time too. My nan had a very basic catholic funeral she had dannyboy played because we and my nan had a very special bond and I was her first grandson to whom cont
Most catholic funerals in the UK are done just at creamaturiams because of cost and practicality for the relatives and on the cost of the funeral My nans funeral cost over 300 quid and it took all the money she had saved she had basic of basic of funerals because she just said just throw me to the wind all the time bless her she didn't want the hassle or for grief for ever I am thankful to nan to have those's saving because around the time of death in the uk there was a backlog of claims cont
That's the meaning of "Catholic" isn't it? Universal. To be the same every where.
It's interesting how you phrase the whole video though, because the Catholic Church is 1500 years older than any Protestant community and so I think it would make more sense to say how the Protestants differ from the Catholics, not the other way around.

It is a Catholic Mass, not a service.
Also at the door of the Church, the Coffin is turned around so the head of the deceased is facing the High Altar.
