This is by far the greatest RPG I've ever played...and I've played a lot of them. I have yet to say "well, that was a complete waste of time" after doing a sidequest. Everything you do reaps a reward. I actually WANT to do sidequests.

So i began a new game yesterday and in my previous save game i had allready joined the dark brotherhood. I walk the roads and who do i find but the Jester bringing the nightmother to the dark brotherhood near Farlkreath. This game keeps suprising me, i recommend starting a new game, its awesome to try out different skills.

So I watched all 3 parts to your review, and have come to the conclusion that you haven't actually played the game. Anyone who's sunk more than a couple of hours into this game would have already run into many of the games GLARING bugs and unpolished gameplay quirks. Be it in battle, fussing with the ABHORRENT menu, having NPC's wig out, quests being broken and unable to finish etc... Don't get me wrong, the game is still great at its core, but it's also bugged to hell.

All he basically said is: the world and environment is more interactive; the game combat mechanic's have improved; the graphics look unsurpassable; and that there is a lot of content. Other than that all he basically did was give an overview of the plot.

You're only right about the "not open world".

For the "countless quests" bullshit enjoy doing fetch quests and kill 10 bears type of quests. And as for the "story is so boring" that's 100% based on OPINIONS. And the story it's definitely superior than the "ancient evil is awakening" behind Skyrim story. PLUS on that all combat is better in Witcher skyrim melee is a button masher. Better characters and dragons in skyrim are underwhelmingly easy to kill.

The biggest problem is that some of these sources do it without warning, so people don't know until it's too late or if they happen to read the comments beforehand. Besides, a long review doesn't equal spoilers. This one is an example of that after all.

One of the games of the year for me, everything has an astonishing amount of detail. The amount of times i've been travelling to a way point, got sidetracked and ended up wandering around a new town for an hour chatting to people and picking up side quests is hilarious.

The NPC'S actually have lives instead of just standing around waiting for you to talk to them and you can play as a fucking viking!!! Awesome.

Now don't get me wrong, I really love and appreaciate the work the guys from CGR do. But if there's anything they do wrong is that they SPOIL way to much in reviews, that's why I didn't even watch their other rviews of big games I didn't play yet such as Arkham City. I don't want to tell them what to do, since they have their own style of reivewing games but that style is also the reason why too many spoilers. They just put a few sequences of gameplay while they''re reading the review pages.

I think DaggerFall is the only game that you don't start off as a prisoner! You are stuck in some cave/dungeon thing. In Arena, you start off in some musty forgotten prison...or something, so I guess you could be called as a prisoner in that one too. :/
