The Romanovs rule in Russia has been a history of disgrace and stupidity. By the year 1917 Nikolashka Krovaviy got so confused and fucked up with everything that there was not a single sole in Russia who would fight for him. For all the sins of his family Nikolashka simply had to pay through the nose. There was no other way. He had been there doin no good for far too long, just like Kaddafi now. The Romanovs deserved to be hanged, But the bolsheviks had mercy on them ... got them shot
The revolution was made possible merely because the German Empire wanted to get rid of the eastern front! The Kaiser let Lenin cross Germany to Russia to make a revolution, so Germany would be free to fight in the west! It is the most shameful chapter of the day
Anastasia, I mean, the true Anastasia, was killed together with the entire family! The Anastasia we know, was an impostor, but, somehow, kept the world in breath! "Our" Anastasia wasn't any Grand-Duchess (actually Grand-Princess) of Russia
@shartjen1 The painting by Lauritz Tuxen of Christian IX and his family was made between the years 1883-6.. This was the designation used to describe the days in summer when the Danish Royal family succeeded in gathering children, children-in-law and grandchildren at Fredensborg. During those days the British, Greek, Russian and Danish Royal houses were represented at one and the same time. The original painting is at Christiansborg and is approx. 5x7 metres.
GENEVA -- Some 2,000 letters, postcards and photographs sent by the last Russian czar's siblings to their private Swiss tutor are to be auctioned in Geneva.
This docu is about the SISTER of the tsar, not his daughter. You can't watch a docu without listening to what's been told.

@19EHF Olga was indeed the last surviving "grand duchess" because she died in 1960.
