One could wish her pipes were stronger so she could handle putting some power into a note... she has a lovely sound when singing softly, but loses pitch altogether as soon as she tries to put more than a faint wisp of air into it. :\

I think more strenuous voice practise will help with this though. I look forward to seeing her improve with time.

Link me to something where LDR proves she can belt with the sort of power and fidelity that, say, Adele can manage. I'm not saying her voice is *bad* - it has a lovely tonality and is quite mellifluous. I like it a lot. It's just kind of a one-trick pony for now, with room for improvement.

@ajaku: There's nothing wrong with it. Almost every artist changes the tune of the song when singing live. & You don't always have to sound like you're screaming in order to be a good singer. That's a common misconception people have. There are people who have lower or higher ranges. I think it all depends on the taste or the person listening.

@TheLeighhP Totally true, Adele done well for herself but LDR has a unique voice and seems to have so many styles of singing. In some live performances her voice goes from angelic to deep and husky and all things inbetween, as I said a unique voice.

The big difference between adele and lana is that adele is a better singer (she has a better control on her breath and a better voice projection) however, adele is not an artist (at least, to me).
