Does any one know which exhaust silencer would give this kind of sound to current days' street triples, daytonas etc ? Maybe a bit more legal, but still same glorious symphony ? Many thanks in advance,
It's not just the exhaust. It is the whole engine design, meaning a "long" stroke motor that gives this sound. Although modern day Triumph triples come close it is not possible to replicate the "original" howl.
my dad has a friend he used to race with who has a genuine rob north triple in his garage, went out once in about 88 and blew up, sat in there ever since. dad wants to buy it off him and get it done to add to the triumph collection - 250 single, 500 twin, 750 triple, and 1000 four.
Wow it looks ace sound sounds ace with that tripple. Don't look very road legal with the number where the headlight should be but it looks much better for it.

hes shifting way too early, this bike redlines at 7250rpm and hes shifting at like 5000 lol i have a 69 triple myself check it out

John Cooper actually beat Agostini at Mallory Park on the BSA version of that, and Ago was on the works MV triple.

upyergarry torque is what gets you round a track faster thaqn everybody else not BHP so actually torque is not cheap
