I played this game for a year before I beat it back in the day. I got grounded twice for swearing and screaming at the TV, they never did find out about the controller I broke though :)

Battle Toads reminds me a lot of The Adventures of Bayou Billy. Everytime you beat a level the Dark Queen taughts you and laughs just like the bad guy in the other game.

I wonder why the first level is so easy even though the rest of it is so hard, I mean, they might as well have gone all out, most of the levels are so different that they're practically a first level!I think that's what makes this game so hard, you can't really get used to anything.

hey, it's better than paying for it on Wii Virtual Console or something like that...

get a Gamecube controller and a usb adapter for said controller, or a Xbox360 wireless controller which is programable for use with pc's without an adapter, and you're set, also you have an extra controller for use on console.

good luck getting past the third level in this game...gamefaqs might help...this dude who's playing is a total professional to go at w/o savestates. have fun.
