@hrmoore41 yeah but the infielders are supposed to watching the play and they're equipped with a glove the on deck batter is practicing the the swing and timing the pitchers thus will have no time to react. also the way you are angled makes it almost impossible to read the trajectory once it comes off the bat unlike an infielder.
