He was later released after his wife had to bring his birth certificate that states he was born in Fresno, CA. Weather or not you realize it this law is being used already as a racist tool. Natoinal SS card with biomentric and prolly GPS will be mandated for all AZ residents. Illegals cost more money in jail then out on the street. This will also cost you waaay more money that way. Are you sure you see the big picture?

The Feds will be FORCED to finally do their job and start protecting the border by keeping drugs, illegals and terrorists out of the country. Your argument is that it's less expensive to NOT enforce existing laws and just allow lawbreakers to go free? That's weak and defeatist! I also disagree with your predictions about possible future mandates for AZ residents.

@Symbolc0729 By the way, you should know that proper spelling and grammar actually increase ones credibility with most educated people. I offer this with respect. I also realize and appreciate that the law is never enforced with 100% accuracy and effectiveness and I do sympathize with the family you mentioned. However, this law is NOT racist. It simply parallels existing Federal U.S. laws and is still much less invasive than current Mexican laws. Do you feel the U.S. laws are racist?

There are alot of hard working immigrants in America they're definently not the problem, the problem is illegal immigrants they come here with no documents so we don't know who they are and they can commit crimes and the law can't do nothing about it because we don't know who did what. I live in CT I see illegal hispanics everyday standing next to dukin donuts looking fo work with no papers, the government know they are illegal but nothing is done about it.

Reasonable is such a subjective term. Whatever happened to probable cause? As to taking more to breeding on American soil, are you saying immigrants are like animals, who breed? That gives me probable cause to ask if you are a racist. As to what makes one American, you should take a look at the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers whom I thought you would respect.

Those of us in the Tea party denounce racial hate and Joe Arpaio as well as Arizona'a immigration law. We will not or do we want any American that use racial hate to participate in our orginization. @mamsr45 You do not speak for me nor many others in the Tea Party Movement. TEA stands for Taxed Enough Already and we also do not want our taxes to pay for illegal immigrants' health care. This is NOT about race. It IS about enforcing the existing laws. It IS about protecting this country. If I break the law in in Spain and could only speak English, do you think they wouldn't check my passport? If I were caught by the Federales for sneaking into Mexico, do you think they'd ask for ID?

An American born man of mexican desendency was pulled over in the county he presides over. The man was questioned and asked to provide his birth certificate.. He didnt have it so he was taken to ICE.

Are people acually comparing illegal immigration to the civil rights movement of the 60's? That is absurd! Those folks fought and many died for their rights. Comparing folks that HAD rights and were denied to folks that are here illegally DEMANDING rights is not respectful to all that fought so hard for what they deserved.
