i tried this for the first time yesterday. i have european hair texture that is breaking off at the ends. i used the treatment and the conditioner afterwards but my hair felt really dry afterwards?? im gonna try it again as i only tested it on a small bit of hair yesterday, but this time i will make sure i rinse really well and use another deep conditioner afterwards as i felt the aphogee conditioner was rubbish!
@Canashea yes, it is extremely important to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner to bring back the elasticity in the hair. Dont do the treatment again for 6weeks. You don't want protein overload.

When I was relaxing, I would put cholesterol on b4 2 help with over-processing. I learned that in cosmetology school and it helps, so think about trying that!

please please please apply it like a virgin relaxer because if you dont the roots will process faster than the rest and they will be wayyy straighter than the rest of your hair.. Coming from a hair stylist

OMG!!! you've got me even more pumped about this stretch!!☻ I started my 1 year stretch on 11/11/10 as of today I still haven't use any form of heat on my hair. I'm thinking about not using any amount of heat at all for this 1 year stretch you've caused me to go on... my new growth is already starting to gain it's thickness again!! I'm doing this stretch mainly to gain thickness... and from watching you on your 1 year journey I know it's possible to gain more thickness than I could ever dream of

My last relaxer was 15 months ago as well and I've been watching you along the way, lol. I decided to stick with being natural and cut off my relaxed ends right before Thanksgiving. I really wish I could stretch my relaxer out to 15 months. My problem is that I have really long thick hair & for the past year or so I've been getting a lot of shedding. BUT, the thing is I have no sign of my hair thinning, breakage or anything. I trim every relaxer. It appears healthy! But the shedding won't stop. I don't think I've ever done a protein treatment; do you suggest I do one? If so, before or after my relaxer? I've been doing my hair myself lately... I just need an outside opinion.

My hair texture is similar to yours and when I stretched for a year I was very surprised at all of the length I had retained once I relaxed. I think you are going to be surprised with the length of your hair, don't let the shrinkage fool you. cant wait to see your hair next week!
@tweetysweety1996 I purchased a elliptical machine. I do that for 45 min a day 4 times a week. I am currently not eating any red meat, pork. I changed my eating habits and the weight just falling off.
@kadzal Not really, except for the nape area, all over still has my relaxed ends. I am going to need to apply my relaxer far down to get all the new growth

My last relaxer was 15 months ago as well and I've been watching you along the way, lol. I decided to stick with being natural and cut off my relaxed ends right before Thanksgiving. So for selfish reasons I'd hope you'd do the same,lolol. But seriously, I understand wanting to relax. I'm in the south as well and the heat is no joke! Can't wait to see the video! I'm sure it will turn out fabulous!!

I really wish I could stretch my relaxer out to 15 months. My problem is that I have really long thick hair & for the past year or so I've been getting a lot of shedding. BUT, the thing is I have no sign of my hair thinning, breakage or anything. I trim every relaxer. It appears healthy! But the shedding won't stop. I don't think I've ever done a protein treatment; do you suggest I do one? If so, before or after my relaxer? I've been doing my hair myself lately... I just need an outside opinion.

My hair texture is similar to yours and when I stretched for a year I was very surprised at all of the length I had retained once I relaxed. I think you are going to be surprised with the length of your hair, don't let the shrinkage fool you. cant wait to see your hair next week!

@tweetysweety1996 I purchased a elliptical machine. I do that for 45 min a day 4 times a week. I am currently not eating any red meat, pork. I changed my eating habits and the weight just falling off.

@kadzal Not really, except for the nape area, all over still has my relaxed ends. I am going to need to apply my relaxer far down to get all the new growth

I'm laughing also because you sound just as "Southern" as me, chile! LOLOL Aphogee has been around for years and it is as excellent as you're speaking of. Keep up the good work and I enjoy your videos! I personally like the Olive Oil line of relaxers and products mainly because I was actually trained by their chemists. Keep up the excellent work. :)
