Rahel is my sister & she has always spoken that way. She grew up in the states & then moved to Eritrea & has had no will to return to the U.S. for anything more then a visit or studies. She is extremely happy serving her country & she does a great job at participating in the positive development of Eritrea. I myself lived in Asmara from 1999-2000. I have since visited the military base & have aunts & uncles whom have also proudly served. Some ppl leave & some stay. Respect your differences plz

One fact remains though Eritrea is like no other Sub Saharan country. It has achieved a lot in just 20 years, yes no private press because, the leaders believe since, there are no such thing called "free media". They have a point in that. First we have to feed, educate and build the country with out those who cry crocodile tears for Eritrean youth while, they have not even ready to put a day of their lives to help the young nation.Look at Libya Egypt and Tunisia .

i beg to extremely disagree with rahel. i am eritrean and as a national service i served (without salary) in the army for a very long 12 years. 12 unbearable YEARS of slavery. to hear that the dictator's ass lickers like rahel blindly denying this FACTS is very painful indeed.
after 12 years of slavery i had to escape across the border to sudan. unlucky for me i was cuaght and sentenced indefinitely and put into intense labour with very poor quality and quantity food. ERITREA IS THE N.KOREA.

Consider also the growing erosion of support for Isayas both within Eritrea and in the Diaspora? Have you ever stopped to think why? Then you should. That is what genuine patriotism is all about. Talk to the opposition or ask your Government why our jails are being filled with innocents (if you can do so without being thrown there yourself). These are real issues dear compatriot ... please think about them.
