The Smashing Pumpkins are one of the influences of My Vitriol, but these bands are quite different ... I prefer The Smashing Pumpkins of course, but My Vitriol is one of the few great bands of the 2000s !!! I hope to hear something new soon !

Smashing pumpkins are fucking amazing, melon coliie and the infinate sadness is one of the best albums ever, but this band are great too, being honest though you cant really compare the too its silly in a way! Both bands ftw;)

I'd say this was one of the last albums that truly followed alternative rock canon. After this, the movement pretty much died a horrible and commercialized death.

Yeah they do rule! 2nd album would be nice. They did do that EP called A Pyrrhic Victory which is pretty damn good, has a cool cover of Toy Soldiers on it.
