I LOVE that ZWreck.... I need to get one. I see my idol/hero Joe Walsh is using them now along with a one pickup Gibson Les Paul (he hasn't played LP's much since the early 90s). I loved that performance he did with Brad Paisley. Great recording and playing! Nice SG too! :)
Great video - but these amps have to be heard live to truly appreciate them. There is something special about them that does not come thru on a computer speaker!
I bought one of these amps based on research , and Jason's videos prompted me to order one, best amp I have ever played thru!
@jammers5 very true...i live the sound in the room better...its hard to capture it with a $150 mic...lol and a computer...glad you liked the videos man...see you on the forum buddy...cheers
@Nooseybear you be very lucky to find this amp for that price....you may get a head for that price....you need to buy this one as a set though...check dr z's site for pricing...lol cheers!thanks.
@jashobbsie I was thinking that if I had the money I'd only buy the head anyway. Do you think the cab makes much of the tone? Because for $1000 extra for a 2x12 that's one expensive cab...
@Nooseybear the speakers were part of the design and they really shape the z wreck sound for sure. i've tried a couple of cab and different speaker combinations and i have to agree...dr z got it right with this cab....i would highly recommend this cab...or find a cab with a celestion blue/gold combination of some sort...cheers!
@montify its an attenuator....it connects between the head and cabinet to reduce the decibels(volume) when the amp is cranked....its like a power soak...you can really work your tubes at a bedroom volume without taking your head off with the loud volume....its called the Dr. Z ("Air Brake")...a lot of guitarists used them with their old marshalls too...
@montify i find that when you really attenuate it a lot...the tubes are working but the speaker is not moving the same and its not as good...but the key is to just attenaute a little....its has 4 settings and a bedroom setting...the bedroom setting is obviously the lowest setting and therefor your speakers are barely working....a useful tool when playing small clubs or recording for sure...cheers!
Thanks Steven! this is a great guitar for that sabbath stuff....glad you dig the vid! This one took ten hours total to make...lol longest one to date i think....cheers!

I've got an SG with 12's on it too, a 2004. Such a great tone. That amp must shake the room, man.

Wow, that has got to be one of the sweetest sounding amps I've ever heard. Also, nice playing as always, thanks for showing all that this amp can do!
