The simple fact is...this sound sounds the same as at least 30 other songs I can name. Same chord oooover and oooover and ooover again. JUST BECAUSE ITS CHRISTIAN MUSIC, DOESNT MEAN IT HAS TO BE BLAND. Why cant their be christian music writers who think outside the "major chord for the ENTIRE SONG" style of writing. His music has a wonderful message yes. But, I play drums in a church, have been for over 20 years. And I am saved. But, I just simply dont like this music. I love you all.

this is the most awful generic music. How many other songs have the exact same chord structure AND chord changes. I wish people would get the idea out of their head that christian music needs to sound EXACTLY THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER CHRISTIAN MUSIC BAND. may i suggest if you are looking for more interesting christian music to check out Crowder's stuff is just freaking awesome, along with Shane and Shane's amazing harmonizing

and Jon foreman(of switchfoot)has some solo stuff and its quite AWESOME... =)

Oh okay, I understand what you're talking about. My sister and I had this discussion countless times before. We thought alot of Christian music had the same melody and arrangements, and that they were bland. But when you think of it, rock music slowly starts to sound like all rock music...hip-hop, punk, r&b, pop, hey even African, Arabic, Jewish and Indian all sounds the same within their genre/style. The way to get over it is find artists who you can relate to and focus foremost on the lyrics.
