  • @sbrubbles Subterranean Homesick Blues :)

  • Thumbs up if you caught the subliminal sound in this scene.

  • This is going on my ipod because I can recite the entire thing in class. ahaha

  • Mas o quê, gente? Preciso ver esse filme D;

  • this is ma favorite movie!

  • OH! this is a cool part

  • 0:32 niceee! ;)

  • This film was terrible but they cast Jim well, can't imagine anyone other than Val playing him tbh

  • Appalling. What a dreadful film. Jim Morrison had already played himself.

  • 1:13 Too perfect!

  • @UltraRockSounds There is already....in many houses and in many streets in L.A..

  • @shamuswinston There is? Man, LA seems like a really cool place to be in. I must go there one day.

  • Does anybody know the name of that 60's song at the beginning of the video? thanks

  • @randypipper92 It's Hang on Sloopy by The McCoys according to a reply 2 months ago.

  • @oh5girl yup, that's right. featured a teen-aged rick derringer on guitar.

  • i have this movie..

  • Fuck everyone who says Val is hotter than Jim. You'll never get the genuine hotness of James Douglas Morrison. The end.

  • Ray (real one) said that Kilmer did a great job on this role ... i rest my case

  • i actually think that Val is hotter than jim

  • The song that started it all ...

  • @Calvinbonjovi Its called Hang on Sloopy by The McCoys

  • Oh wow, when Ray is mocking Bob Dylan's song XD I fucking love Bob Dylan and his voice is and was great to me (:

  • what's the song that's playing in the start?

  • The melody that Morrison sang to Manzarek wasn't the one on the Strange Days album, not a big deal, but just pointing it out

  • Let's swim to the moon, uh huh

    Let's climb through the tide

    Penetrate the evenin' that the

    City sleeps to hide

    Let's swim out tonight, love

    It's our turn to try

    Parked beside the ocean

    On our moonlight drive

  • John Morrison should play Val Kilmer playing Jim Morrison

  • 1st half of the movie A+ 2nd half: D- overall C+

  • @bucknut248 Actually the movie, like virtually all Hollywood productions, has three parts, or acts. Your comment is very interesting. I would say first act is A, second A-, third D. It's easy to conceive of beginnings and of success, but dissolution isn't easy for Hollywood to do unless the whole scene is about it. Thus noir.

  • this is one of my fave parts of the movie!

  • val ...hot

  • You know...when this happened in real life, (according to Sugerman) Ray didn´t talk about the 60´s, or sides being chosen or the infinite. Ray said "let´s form a Rocknroll band and make a million bucks man!"

  • love the movie for what it is, but kilmers morrison is pretty effeminate

  • Not an overly big fan of the movie as a whole, but Val Kilmer DEFINITELY channeled Jim Morrison. He was dead on.

  • @jessbear1979 no he wasnt....he looked like him that was it...

Val was made to act a bit overboard...the way he moves and acts just wasnt the same as jim...Val was put as if to be in a trip the whole movie and Morrison just wasnt like that

  • @claxy1337 I don´t know about you people, but I read Sugerman´s book, twice. And the Jim Morrison that appears in those pages is very, very similar to the Val Kilmer Morrison. Sensitive and acting "out there" all the time.A little bit spoiled. That´s not Stone, but Sugerman. Just read it.

  • @ElFrankus I have read Ray Manzarak's and Robby Kriger's accounts of Stones "Morrison" and they were extremely disappointed in it. Things like "I felt offended to see Jim depicted like that" and Robby saying "it was sad to see Jim always depicted with a bottle"

do some research on the matter

    JIM WAS NOTHING LIKE THIS

  • @ElFrankus I have read it, before watching this interview with him stating that his book was "probably the most misunderstood thing i have ever done and i wished i hadn't"

    /watch?v=4Lr4VYsfA0U&feature=related

  • Val Kilmer at his best. You can say whatever you want about the movie, but there was no one better on this planet who could play Jim Morrison than 1990's Kilmer.

  • Val Kilmer at his best. You can say whatever you want about the movie, but there was no one better on this planet who could play Jim Morrison than 1990's Kilmer.

  • Huxley Book. can´t understand jim without reading it

  • that ugly motherfucker as morrison..pff come on..

  • sorry bchick....I totally disagree. Val is a great actor who makes every role his own. He was great as Jim Morrison. On top of that, he's soooooooooooooooooo good looking.....hot, hot, hot....

  • this is one of my favorite scenes, his voice is soft and pure :) he brought out a fantastic side of Jim!

  • I can't help but watch this scene and think, "These two guys would probably be better off solving murders with guys named Harry right about now."

  • i think ray really its very nice guy...

  • this movie was filmed really well, but it seemes like they over exagerate alot of the scenes

  • take a hit of acid and watch this movie....then you will respect val...he kicks ass in this roll and who else could pull this off.....?????? bueller.....

  • lol, I saw this before but never realized that Ray Manzerek was meditating when Morrison says "try acid, its guaranteed." Manzerek is going "oooooooooooooooommmmmmm."

  • what is the song at 0:01 ?

  • someone needs to make a better doors movie van kilmer doesnt look like jim at all and half of it isnt even relevant to what actually happened

  • @BobertTheTurtle I actually thought Val Kilmer was pretty good in this film, but I didn't find the film itself all that enjoyable.

  • @dbdeg88 I think you basically hit it spot on.

  • OMG.... Val Kilmer looks IDENTICAL to Jim Morrison

  • Val Kilmer did such a good job on this film. Acting and Singing

  • @oniallain1965 by the same token, those who follow a bad influence are exercising their own free will, and it isn't someone else's fault for leading them there. everyone is responsible for their own actions and their own salvation. val kilmer was merely trying to portray jim morrison in his entirety as an actor, nothing more. i am a religious man myself, but fanaticism gives organized religion a bad name, and becomes counterproductive if you are trying to do missionary work. chill out.

  • @oniallain1965 what?

  • Val Kilmer looks like Andy Gibb

  • @FAMEROB My thoughts exactly man

  • Needs a remake....

  • Val Kilmer <3

This was a pretty great movie, even though the remaining band members thought that Oliver Stone portrayed Jim Morrison more as a drug addict and not a poet.

  • BombsOnTrees is right man-upload the whole movie :)

  • "Try acid Ray, it's guaranteed" "Shit. Shit. Morrison"

    love it my fave movie!

  • what did you use to rip the movie?

  • man i love watchin this i watch it so much i love lsitenin to him sing it

  • "those are great fuckin lyrics man."

  • I'm so sure...Val Kilmer as JM...this is hard to watch..yuk..

  • @Oxbloodred I can't think of anyone who would have made a better fit than VK; I'd heard they were considering John Travolta. that would have been unpalatable.

  • @moonlily1 they were also considering tom cruise, richard gere, and johnny depp. i could see depp doing it, cause hes an amazing actor, but other than him, no one else could do it

  • @Metalhead12828 richard gere! ha! that dude was way too old! Tom Cruise too apple pie; Johnny Depp, maybe, but Val Kilmer's the only one who looks at all like Jim Morrison. I personally think Val Kilmer's awesome.

  • @moonlily1 i agree wholeheartedly.

  • dude upload the rest super nice quality!

  • in this movie ray manzerick looks like john lennon

  • this is awesome, exactly how the band started :)

  • 0:32 cute butt

  • @bigboss25262 its a cute butt.. not big not too small not hot but cute... like you wouldnt want to grab it.
