San Diego Gay Men's Chorus is presenting this as part of the Friend Me concert 9-10 April, 2011. As a member, I'm curious about what the final product will sound like. In the meantime though, practicing the music is fun and very beautiful. I hope that many people get to see it and that it makes a positive impact in their lives.

This is a profound work of immense spiritual depth, speaking on many levels to many aspects of human existence -- not just addiction --though that is its main motif. One cannot encounter it and then walk away afterwards without being haunted by its deeply moving themes. It is a modern masterpiece, and its composer a genius.
